Absolutely the best Dobies brothers song ever in my mind👍👊❤️
Tap if you love the DOOBIE BROTHERS
I'm 63 years old, and I always go back and listen to this song.
Me too
This is one of the greatest rock songs ever written and played by some of the finest rock stars ever to walk on this planet, the Doobie Brothers.A true masterpiece written by Pat Simmons..
This is not a rock song but otherwise agree. This is a bunch of styles but not rock.
the 70's were the best.....miss those days so much
Something magical about this song, one of the most beautiful on so many levels...this iteration of the doobies was very very special...🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on pedal steel guitar.
Pat Simmons is musical genius. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. The bridge in the middle that reaches the crescendo always gives me complete body goosebumps. The orchestration, the singing, the tune, the words everything is perfect.
Wonderful song. Great lyrics and beat. It seems like when you hear these classics, you go back to a time when things were much more easy going, and you think about things that happened in your life when they were played on the radio.
Another Great song from the Best Era in Music, '65 to '75.
This song is a true classic. Pat Simmons underrated writer. Love this
Amen - Love ❤this song so much. Love Mr. Patrick Simmons’ writing, singing and awesome guitar 🎸 playing.
still as beautiful as the first time I heard it!!!
It's an always road trip song..

The most beautiful song I ever heard, the Doobie brothers should of been in the hall of fame thousands of years ago
So sweet...much obliged indeed.
And that South City lady was a fine lady indeed. This brings back so many excellent memories of the days when we were young and didn’t have a care and just fell into love each other. But time is a thief and those days are long long gone yet it’s good to hear this and reminisce of days gone by.
I wore this album down to where you could almost see through it.
You pressed thumbs up because this song reminds you of a place and time being with someone you loved or still do! And that's just fine!
Who didnt love the Doobie Brothers???...
This music is priceless no matter how old you are.
THE best Doobie Brothers song EVER!!!

First heard this album when I was 18 and living in Paris. Blew me away. The musicianship is outstanding and the songs are superb. But South City will always haunt me the sound track to my first real love............................sob.

That crescendo near the end...okay...the WHOLE end of this song...just gives me goose-bumps.
now this is my favorite song and for sure the most underrated song they have
It was the late '60s. I was a young husband. A bunch of us went to Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City. It was an old dust bowl in the summer heat. We spread a blanket on the field to hear Chicago and the Doobie Brothers. Those were great days of our youth I'll never forget. They tore the place down soon after but the memories remain.
You couldn't of heard the Doobie's then since they didn't form till 1970.
@@MIKECNW chicago for sure at that venue,,,,,Guess Who may have opened

always love this special song
....the best long ending ever in a song !
The Doobies were on the radio all the time when I was a young child in the '70's, and I loved their music from then on. "South City Midnight Lady" didn't have any particular meaning for me until 1992, when I met a girl named Allison. No, it didn't work out. I only play this song when I can be alone and afford to get a little emotional.
sounds good, I'm happy for you... best wishes...
You my friend are a renaissance man... Well done..
One of the loveliest pieces of music I've ever heard. Thank you, Doobie Brothers!!!!😍
It will never age! South City Midnight Lady has special meaning for me. She is not my girlfriend nor is she my wife. She is a very special friend whom I love with all my heart. Thank you Amy, I'm much obliged indeed ~
You are so lucky to have her as a friend😁

What a lovely song. Patrick Simmons, thank you.
To my Sister, Linda, I miss you! For the way we were. Remembering all our Doobie Brother Concerts! I know it's too late, but I love you.💔
love this song so much.. and for so long.
The best song of the Doobies!!!!!!
Love The Guitar Solos!!!!
..and the strings !
This song is mesmerizing and touches the soul. Love the instrumental build-up, just Ahhh-mazing ❤
The Doobie Brothers, to me are rather iconic, if you will... gee, I so much appreciate all those that served in Vietnam...was this music then, maybe I'm too young. Sorry, I'm Canadian, and when I think about all the problems there, the Doobie Brothers music some how has a distinct sound, was it then, I don't know. For all of you that served your country, you have my heart, I am so proud of you. God bless, where would be without people like you.... Thank you so much....
From a Vietnam vet,I thank you ! It's a time to both forget and at the same time never forget ! :)
I'm almost 70 and my deepest thanks to the 10,000 Canadians who crossed the border and enlisted in the U.S. military and volunteered to Vietnam service. My hat's off to you all...
Smooth. Love tis song!
