You would be surprised if you knew the amount of 'testing' that CAT perform, on each and every one of their machines, endurance and otherwise, at various locations throughout the world. The testing in this video is 'tame', compared to the real testing that's performed. I know other manufacturers, do, or claim to do the same, but CAT really do spend fortunes on all aspects of machine development, no expense is spared. A lot of competition, as there always has been, in the heavy equipment industry, from emerging markets, but CAT seem to 'up their game' every time, the new and current machine range, have gone to the next level.
Yea me too. I run a D11t. We just got word of getting a new electric D11 prototype to test out for Caterpillar. Im going to post a video soon as we get it.
had the electric on site for awhile, broke down, couldn't fix it on site, dealer picked it up, estimated costs to repairs were astronomical, won't own one
I have more 8 years experience with Cat Dozer and Excavator and in terms of durability and fuel save i think is how the operator use the machine, because a Lazy operator or little experience will lead to bad results
I had a one of the best operators/ finishers I have ever seen and also an owner and my employer at the time tell me, if you need to back blade to finish,,, you can't, until you master blade control moving forward especially an angled blade. Then you will see there is very little need to back blade. Occasionally you will be in a situation when you need too. Tight corners or boundary lines .
As I'm see, it's weak at push,n,corner cuts spin to much smaller pads will bite up go on,wh_ test spin,n point ,let's do production that's where it's pay,n off at ,not play,n around like your rookie is,such a waste of time!!!!
Not a great video , couldn’t see what he was really doing , and was trying come over with a lot of tec jargon , basically came over as big geeky teenager trying to show off , FAIL
Pretty stupid comment really bud. It was obviously stated in the video everything he was doing to the machine and why he was doing it. It was all about how the dozer reacted in different situations and the different ways of operating it. Think before you make dumb comments next time.
If you don't take the time to find out the limits of any machine then you don't know truly how much work you can put out my opinion

no we wouldn't be surprised not even a little bit
I wanted to see a hydraulic cylinder on the blade to adjust the pitch angle on the fly, like the bigger dozers have.
Me too
Great idea for calibration! I'll be stealing that
Why is the steering syst. not with dual electric motors???
PAT Blades don't like hard pushing !! Hydrostatic??
What equipment do they use in that room to get it back level and packed?
what's the price of that CATERPILLAR D6XE?
1/4 mil my guess
@@arborist460 you live in a dream world.
Would like to see this machine in shot rock

whats the price on one of these?
Great video man!!

This mofo needs to be evaluated on his operating ability, and guys earrings and dozers dont mix
where are you doing this??
Edwards demonstration center in Peoria Illinois with Caterpillar Inc.

Truckers love da backblading tho 😏✌️🇨🇦
There’s a brave wee keyboard warrior
Let's see it on a pipeline.
Was this indoors wtf way different than outside conditions
its in the testing facility idiot
Why do you hate back blading
chris rizzo my uncle always says “if dozers were meant to move material in reverse they would have a blade on the back”.
Back dragging is very inefficient and a bad habit for new operators to get into. Bulldozer operation is all about holding an even grade in forward.
+Mason Sydow
hmmmm I agreed...

I was told if I had to back drag they don’t need me
Interesting.
Worst CAT skinner I’ve ever seen run such a nice piece of iron
Plow till u puke
