Fantastic guitar. Love mine.
Forgot to put in the the video the overdrives I was using. For the Peavey I use a MXR Custom Badass and for the Orange a Joyo Ultimate Drive. Not using one on the Boss

Nice video absolutely love the DiMarzio D Activators
Thanks man! They're great
Great playing! Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us brother KEEP IT UP. Subbed!
Thanks for the sub! Glad you enjoyed :D
I am interested in this guitar. Thank you very much for the review 🤟🎸
Welcome :)
Holy fuck, that intro was INSANE! Loved it!
Thanks boss :D \m/
Rock on brother, I literally just ordered this today!
Hell yeah man!
The best review on this guitar! You've taken a plain Jane and turned her into a star. DiMarzio rules!
Thanks a bunch! And yes I love DiMarzio pickups. Wish they had better demos though I took a gamble when I chose these haha
Killer guitar and killer riffs, Bro. Looking at this guitar to add to my collection and this video is perfect. The down turning sounds great. Just subbed and gonna check out more videos. Is the neck shape similar to a strat C shaped neck? Keep it loud and distorted!!!!
Thanks for the kind words! And yeah it's sort of like a C neck on a Strat but a little bit thinner. Think of it like a standard Ibanez Wizard neck except without the flat bottom
Wow, sick riffs, right up my aesthetic! 🤘 Would you say this guitar (stock) is good enough for new-ish metalhead who wants to get into playing metal. Been playing acoustic for years but wanna dip my toes into electric/metal via small amp or maybe audio interface/pc
Absolutely! The only complaint really is the pickups. They'll get the job done on like a digital amp or something they just really lack in output. If you can afford it I'd recommend at least putting some GFS pickups in it, those are pretty cheap to get.
Great intro
Much appreciated \m/
Great gear man!
I just received mine and I want to change the same DiMarzio pickups.
One question, what is the lowest tuning you consider to have a proper playability? Thanks
I've got mine set up in Drop B with 12-56 strings and it's totally fine :) I play with about medium action. 1.75mm at the 12th fret give or take
Great Vid, do you know the specific Model of the Dimarzio Pickups. I looked D-activator and they don’t look like the ones you have sadly
They're just the standard D Activators but to get the ones that look like mine ya gotta order them directly from DiMarzio, their website lets you customize the look of them
What a cool video! Thanks for your time! I will buy it as an upgrade platform. May i ask, does this guitar need regular of f spaced pups?
Glad you enjoyed the video! They're F spaced :)
@@TwistedIdentity Thanks for the quick response, looks like a great guitar, i'm already very familiar with their necks plus due to some health issues i can't invest a thousand euros for a new guitar so this way i will make it sound like a more expensive one in time, one thing at a time, probably gonna go towards crunch lab/liquifire although the d- activators sounded really nice as well
@@BassCommunion I haven't tried the Crunch Lab but I did get the Illuminator for an RG7 I have and it's excellent
guitar price: 2/10
sounding on cheap guitar: 15/10
Haha thanks man \m/
Did you have any issues with high frets and fret buzz? I raised the saddles to 1/4" to the bottom of the saddles and still there is buzz. How do you feel about the radius of the fingerboard? It gets quite flat. Thanks for the video.
I very well could have gotten lucky but this is one of if not the best low end guitar I've had. I didn't have any high fret issues or fret buzz. Radius feels fine to me too. The measurements I use if you wanna try it as a reference is shoot for around 1.75mm at the 12th fret on each string, Plain strings if they don't buzz I tend to lower down to around 1.5mm if they aren't buzzing on 1.75. For the trussrod I go by Music Nomad's measurements so I capo the 1st fret, fret the 12th and stick a feeler gauge of .006 or .008'' under the 6th fret and adjust accordingly. Also be sure the saddles are straight, not tilted when you're raising/lowering.
If that doesn't work you may very well have a high fret somewhere.
Guitar noob question: do you do anything to protect the thin paint? Any coatings or products that can help?
Nah, I wouldn't worry about it to be honest just be careful not to bang it into anything. It's not gonna flake off just from ya jamming. If you're really concerned you could always have someone spray a very thin layer of clear coat on it but I've had the guitar for a while now and it's holding up just fine
Hello Wrath, I was wondering if your saddle screws are sticking up past the saddles on your Ibanez GRG121SP? Thank you!🙏
Hiya! Nope mine didn't have that issue BUT I have had a few in the past that did, not just Gio models. If yours does they do make replacement screws you can get, I know Allparts carries them. Be sure to measure the diameter and length of the current ones though before buying any. Alternatively any decent tech can grind them down a bit for ya so they're not so tall.
@@TwistedIdentity Thanks Wrath! All the saddle screws are sticking out very little. The worst are the low and high e strings. Got my action at 1.5 mm at both e strings. What do you have your action set to? Thanks!
Man, did you change the locking tuners?
I want to change them, but I'm not sure which one should I install
I'm using the Gotoh Locking Tuners that are shown in the vid I think the model number is like SG581 or something like that. If you're not wanting Gotoh I'd recommend Hipshot or Tone Ninja depending on your budget. Both are great
@@TwistedIdentitywere they a direct drop in? Or did you have to re drill?
On some photos it looks pretty awful on others looks deadly amazing unfortunately no guitar shop around me sells this model and i have to order it online sometimes i think of buying squier hh stratocaster but i cant get this one out of my head
One thing I can tell you for sure is this will be much nicer than a Squier
@@TwistedIdentity
In real life is it only blue or that gorgeous purple and hint of blue?
I want one guitar for everything not quite sure of getting a stratocaster cause I wanna shred at the same time I don't wanna get this one cause idk how it'll look like between my hands
@@thedivineherself The paint is iridescent so really it just depends on how the light hits it. You move it one angle and it's purple, move it another it's blue, etc. It's really 50/50
@@TwistedIdentity
Anyways tysm
Arch Enemyyyyyy
More like ripoff of Arch Enemy but yeah :P
🤘
🤘o_o🤘!!
i saw phillip mc night rave about this....hmm
