    Thanks for the playthrough, Jason.
Was a lot of fun to watch along, with a super close finish! Totally didn't see any rules errors pop up on the screen so it was a legit win! 😜😜
Very tempted to get Bastion as I don't have a tower defence game and I like puzzley games.

Actually there were a few hiccups in this playthrough. A couple of times you took mana tokens from the general supply to channel towers as you didn't have that specific tower's color in your personal supply. See 28:30 & 40:16. Page 3 of the rulebook specifically states to place one of your mana disc OF ANY COLOR on the tower to take all mana from closed sources in that district. By not spending discs from your personal supply and taking from the general, you end up with 1 extra mana each time.
Also at 6:35 & 42:48 you posted that you weren't allowed to use the fireball spell of your partner. Page 4 of the rules states you may cast this spell WHEN ANY HERO in your district attacks an enemy. This is the only spell you can use on another players turn even though you "borrowed" the alchemy spell from other player at 44:13.
Beginning at 48:40 you spoke about the speed spell. Page 4 states you CANNOT take any actions between these moves. You moved, channeled, move 2 more spaces, and then attacked.
I'm not saying you would have lost, but those missteps made it easier.

Thanks a lot for the playthrough! I’m really eager now to get a copy of this game on the second hand market. It looks like a very nice game to play with my kids. 🙂👍

Had this, sold it. I'm colour blind. Usually most games are difficult but doable (west kingdom and their red/brown coins, blue/purple workers) but those swirly blue and purple tokens were impossible for me to tell apart. Super disappointing to be honest and something the industry needs to do more about. Put a pattern on it or something! Just a black dot on the purples if necessary!

      That’s definitely frustrating!!

Great point. With such a basically abstract system, we would have needed different shapes for the mana tokens. Looks like they chose pretty plastic over usability. A shame, cuz I like this one a lot.

Though I say so myself, my ability to distinguish colours is not too shabby (Though it seems to deteriorate with age!) but was also thinking that the blue and purple are too similar.
he choice of colour used for the purple token which is more of a lilac colour and both lighter and bluer than the colour used on the board.
The colour is actually quite close to being a light ultramarine, rather than purple.
TBH I think the industry as a whole have become more aware of the issue of colour in recent years. Since the tokens represent mana, some sigils printed or moulded on them would be a good idea if they decide to do a 2nd edition.
Edit: Better still use shaped tokens as Jason said.

Not through the whole video yet. Wondering if this is different enough from Ghost Stories to justify having both in the collection.

I have both in my collection. Ghost Stories feels a bit more thematic and exciting. This one is basically a themeless puzzle, like Century Spice Road. I happen to love the puzzle here.

I own and absolutely love this game. However, it looks like you made a very serious mistake. At 43:20 you advance the enemy even though you still had cards on the enemy deck, which is illegal. You can only advance enemies once the deck run out of cards. Instead, when you cannot add an enemy because there's no empty space, you LOSE THE GAME. It's in the rulebook, pg 5. So you actually lost the game. Sorry, it happens a lot when we are beginning.

I drew a card and placed as normal at that timestamp. Not sure to what you are referring.

43:30 you drew a swamp mage, and you advanced it to another district. At that point you lost the game, because you cannot advance monsters until the deck is over. Since you had no space to add it, you lost

@@pedroivooliveira6706 “If there is at least one card in the enemy deck, flip the top card of the deck face up. Move that card counterclockwise around the
bastion until it reaches an empty wall section immediately before an obstacle. It is possible for an enemy to move past one more more adjacent enemies this way.” I flipped the card and moved it to a open space before an obstacle, skipping the monsters next to the deck, per the rule stated here. “Advance an enemy” rules do not apply until the deck is empty.
