I was about three then, shame i didnt witness that side. My dads always telling me storys about us playing in europe. Went to my first game when i wad six and been a fan since. Coyb itfc
A terrible season, most definitely, but I often come back here just to see Alan Shearer's last minute penalty miss, in the away 2-2 draw at Newcastle - always a joy.
This is the Season you thought you were too good to go down, you blew a huge budget on rubbish and built a huge stand that you've seldom filled. The following year brought administration and a run of seventeen years in the Championship building ninety 90! Million worth of debt. The 14,000 views is coincidentally very similar to the average crowd nowadays at Portman Rd, I wonder how many of the glory boys who have watched this actually bother to attend.
I’m an Ipswich fan and what she said is true. That season paved the way for years of misery to come. Just look at us now. We should have stayed up after Christmas when we rallied but it wasn’t to be. Royal should have got us up again but twice we bottled it going into the last few games.
Yes joe Royle was class, and we still had a great team under him. Twice denied by the hammers. What has been our main problem is Evans. Yes he saved us originally but his complete lack of any direction and a succession of awful managers has led us to this terrible place we are in. He has no interaction with the fans at all. Please Ed Shearan, I hate your music but you’d be a great owner Of this club

What a shame .... that means you missed all that history. Still, I've no doubt you'll bang on about it like all the other Ipswich fans I've ever met.
We need the previous season review please!
this is amazing where did you get this? and can i get other seasons from anywhere else do you know?
Great vid. No promoted team will ever achieve what we did that season. Fact.

Aubrey Rooney piss off u probably support Luton
@@radj8609 It's obviously a scummy Norwich City troll, ha! What have their fans got to look back on? Oh of course, a MILK CUP final win in 1985!
Regardless of who I support, neither of you have challenged anything I have said about your Club.
