@@joysynmonds9082 Where would we be without our soldiers? It is a shame that 'the powers that be' have allowed the current situation to develop. So much so some people do not appreciate that the Guards carrying out their duties at this and other sites are highly trained and disciplined military personnel, some of whom have been engaged in combat duties in other countries.
Visitors, please show RESPECT to our military personnel.

The Guard was amazing, I could see and feel his stress , he was so caring and concerned for his horse , he was tolerant of the public more so than I would have been and very polite when asking them to move out of the way when finally he could take his beautiful horse back to the stables away from the noise of more protesters. He must have been so relieved.
Sadly so many of the public just think of themselves , selfish and entitled and must have a photo no matter what the cost . Anyone with a modicum of understanding could see how agitated the horse was and how wonderful the guard was as reacting quickly whilst keeping his horse steady.

Respect seems to be gone now. Some people believe that they can do whatever they want wherever they are, and no one can tell them what they can and can't do. So disheartening. It takes years to get where they are, and I should imagine that it really is a hard process and not everyone can do it. Also these horses are specially trained for this purpose they are beautiful but they are also there to do a Job. The Connection between the soilder and his horse is just paramount, and that's what we see here this soilder respects he's horse as much as the horse respects him. Both were German Warm Bloods. Fritz was very powerful though, and needed careful handling. He could do cross country with jumps for hours at a canter and never tire, unlike me 😂.

I must admit I love the way the horse comes first no matter what, for these people who say its not a petting zoo they are correct and these are trained soldiers but come on these animals are majestic beast full of power who would not want to stroke or even just touch these fantasic animals, Im not really a horse person but just look at them so well kept coats just shine with health and vitality and some of our finest sitting a top in all that regalia who would not want a photo of such a special occasion, such as it is people dont realise how powerful the horses are and even myself can see when a horse gets agitated and would back off but some people must be blind not to see it and still try get near for that photo and I bet the soldier would love to use that pig sticker to chase them away, Im so proud to be British and still remember my number I was given 40 years a go I dont know my own phone number but that number I will never forget, so proud of our lads (that includes the female lads) for been so patient with the crowds of sometimes ignorant people, im starting to ramble so im off, remember be PROUD OF BEEN BRITISH fly the flag anytime you want and support our troops they deserve it.
