Not many have covered the Horde Mode and other features like Skins and Cheats.
Such a fun and amazing game.
freakin' loved this game. my experience with the game was pretty much the same as yours; i had never heard of it before i stumbled across it on Steam's on sale page. like you, i thought the name was interesting and i decided "why the hell not" and bought it. and was very pleasantly surprised. as for the story, while it's nothing to write home about, i actually liked it. it could have been developed more but i thought it was interesting, plus it had some nice world building.
my only real problem was the lack of weapons. there are only a few (shotgun, smg, assault rifle, sniper rifle, handgun) and for me it got a little boring using the same handful of weapons. but yeah while it's nothing groundbreaking, this game was so much fun
I can't sing enough praise about Trepang², this game has everything i needed in a shooter: excellent gameplay and options for different playing styles, a decent story, gunplay and gun sounds that just make me swoon, a kickass soundtrack, and yeah, some decent horror moments too. This game be my happy pill
I definitely check out the demo, gunplay looks fun.

After playing this game, I can never go back to Call of Duty, and I am playing this on PS5 and it runs flawlessly at 60 FPS, it just has a few audio issues with the dialogue as sometimes it's very low to hear, and the resolution of the graphics is a bit washed out, but that's about it.
I already played Trepang2 for around 70 hours and still didn't get old! This is definitely one of my top 5 shooters of all time 👍👍👍
The way you speak reminds me a lot of TV chef Alton Brown, very quick and slightly intense but with a sense of humor.
I enjoy trepang 2 quite a bit. Though I just wish we got a remake of F.E.A.R.

I simply love this game. The gunplay is unmatched
I remember being a little disappointed compared to FEAR, it didn't have the same charm or depth to me and I had some minor gripes with the movement and poor weapon accuracy, but I actually think the game stands up on it's own merits - it's kind of like it's own thing, similar to Black.
I guess 27 turns out to be the company cleaning its own house etc?
This game is sensational, it could have been the horde mode alone, the combat is just that good. Story is meh but it’s its just an excuse to do more shooting

i feel like its missing some special something from the original FEAR, also the name "trepang" is terrible and actively makes me want to play the game less. otherwise it looks pretty great for an indie title
