Israel’s war on Gaza rages on with the death toll at more than 35,000 Palestinians and climbing. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is facing growing internal friction over the way forward in the war. Many of the coalition's far-right members have urged the prime minister to ignore growing international pressure to rein in Israel's onslaught on the territory.
Tensions are also rising among the Israeli public with citizens taking to the streets to protest against Netanyahu’s policies and demand his resignation.
So what lies ahead for the country’s leadership?
This week on UpFront, Marc Lamont Hill speaks to journalist and editor of Local Call, Orly Noy, about the political climate in Israel.

10) We have 56 nations which
we got by force and deception but we don't accept a Jewish state or a Hindu state though they're much older than our faith.
11) Once a Mandir can become a masjid, but once a masjid always a masjid. Babri shall rise again Insha'Allah.
12) Hindus should not try to
settle in Kashmir but Kashmiris can settle anywhere in India.
13) We freely boycott non-halal forever, but if others boycott halal then they're racist and Islamophobe.

To answer the question posed to this woman yes it does matter if he’s actually far right and playing the moderate to the outside world or a moderate trying to appeal to the far right because it gives insight to his motivations and how best to determine whether this is a ideological crusade for him or just a effort to remain in power and not committed to any particular outcome. What really is staggering is the fact that Hamas has lost most of its infrastructure therefore there is no reason to blend whatever is left from its military with the unarmed civilians. Usually an army regular or not surrenders without conditions when there is no space left to fight. So why Hamas doesn’t surrender to secure the continuation of the Gaza Strip. All armies and states have done that to secure their major cities through the history of the world. Why not surrender?
