What would you rank him of all time Defensive backs
My Nice Highlights in the 20-30
My Nice Highlights from this video tho might be top 15
Yes.
Top 10
I mean these are just highlights so we got to factor in how many catches he let up
When you consistently shut down hall of fame receivers with hall of fame quarterbacks throwing to them, yes you deserve a jacket
I’m pretty sure the nfl had to make a rule so corner backs couldn’t touch wrs
Absolutely he was going against receivers like Michael Irving Ricky proehl Andre Reed Marvin Harrison and planty more much deserved respect
Way better than Champ Bailey
@@falcons2123 I fully agree,and im a Champ Bailey fan
Hell yeah beast!!!!!!
Damn. Picked off Marino, Rivers, Kelly, Aikman twice, Young, Warner, McNair, Brady, and P.Manning *8* times lmao.
I was noticing that too lol like damn Farve is the only one who didn't throw 1 to him
To be fair to Marino, he was way out of his prime by the time ty was in the league
3 on manning in 1 game. Only player to ever do that to manning...
@@jeremymurphy6648 Actually Antonio Cromartie had three ints in a game vs Peyton Manning. One of them was even a one handed catch. That Peyton sure did like to throw ints. Ty Law is still my guy though. Happy he finally made the Hall of Fame.
@@Presidentben12 oh ok, cool. Didn't realise anyone else had done it.
His interceptions were nice but you look over just how great of a tackler he was. Never let anyone get by.
Ikr
Ty Law is one of the most underrated cornerbacks in NFL History
I don't think he was underrated. I knew he was great and he didn't even play for my team.
A lot of people I knew knew who he was when he use to play.
Sam W. i’m talking about him being behind the greats like Deion “Primetime” Sanders, Darrell Green, or even Ed Reed
Yeah people forget DB wise him and PT had about the same amount of picks and what not. You got to think what the shit BB was doing letting him and Willie walk with plenty left yeah neither won a SB, but they still did great after they left
@@sports3117 i don't consider him behind them. Just a lot of people view him that way because he is not talk about like them. By the way, a lot of people don't know Darrell Green either. To be honest i only know him from Madden lol and im old....
My first Patriots jersey I bought was a TY Law jersey I still have to this day.
How much you want for it????
Dear NFL Throwback,
Thank you for acknowledging this legend with these fantastic highlights.
Of course!
Ty Law and Ed Reed: Two of the greatest ball Hawks in NFL history
Ryan Brown champ bailey
ty law was overrated
@@chrisuncleahmad and how do you figure that?
@@chrisuncleahmad if you never watched him just say that lmao
@@chrisuncleahmad your insane
Ty Law is the definition of smash mouth defense
nah, he's the definition of system player. Belichick's defensive system propped him up.
Chris Kreager not at all. He played dominantly before Belichick was the coach and changed the scheme. But he did get better when he came
@@chrisuncleahmad
Parcells coached NE from 93'- 96' Ty Law was in NE in 95' Pete Carroll took over in 97'-99' Belichick didn't get to NE til 2000 Ty Law had three great years under Belichick though
Anthony Armstrong and won nothing in those years.
@@chrisuncleahmad Deion didn't win anything until he was on the 49ers and Dallas. Does that make him a 'system player' too?
You fought the law and the law won great work again Throwback
Amen
peyton mannings favorite non colts receiver lol
Na the that fucked up lol 😶😂😂😂
Nah his non Colt receiver is Ed Reed
What about the broncos
@@imissedthejoke3369 Ed was every Browns QBs favorite reciever 😂
@@dvon1097facts😂😂
Ty law was that Dude man....True shut down legend
Thank you Ty Law for all the great memories in NE. You embodied the makeup needed to change the teams defensive culture. I am so glad to say I've seen you play and battle on that NE defense when our teams were not that good. It's good to see a true Patriot go into the hall of greats.
Ty law the monster. Any qb is not safe around law. Ty is the most legendary Cornerback.
I knew Ty law owned Manning but I didn't realize how badly he truly _owned_ Manning.
Nah man he owned EVERY HOF QB WR duo he faced every time.
He has 9 interceptions off of Peyton Manning he has picked him off more then any CB 5 of those came in the playoffs. I grew up calling him Peyton's Kryptonite.
Thank God he got into the hall of fame this year
Hell yeah!!!!!!!!
Whoever disliked it is a colts fan. This guy was a beast!
He was unbelievable! Definitely deserves the Hall of Fame, one of the best cornerbacks ever.
He is the best
Idk why people were acting like he isn't a hall of famer, lol. Dude was a beast.
Ty Law was a guy who knew how to get to the ball. One of those guys who doesn't get a lot of pub but when you look at the numbers you go "wow". I forgot he played for KC and Denver.
And jets
Ya mcdaniels with Denver in the end lol almost felt like franco harriss on the seahawks
Dude was a KILLER that made the NFL change the rules ,so todays QB, WR, TE #'s are out of control. Todays offensive players owe Ty 5% of their salaries!
Ty Law is the most underrated CB of all time even though he was a lockdown corner with a ballhawk mentality and a 3x champion
@@chrisuncleahmad Bruh shut yo ass up
@@chrisuncleahmad says the casual...no threat detected
@@chrisuncleahmad he was pretty good before bilichek arrived
@@chrisuncleahmadno one in their right mind agrees with that bullcrap 🤡🤡🤡 ✌️
Ty Law is arguably the best Cornerback in the Playoffs of all-time.
Yep!!!!!
I was such a huge fan of Ty Law as a kid. His super bowl performance was amazing and was one of the reasons why I played defensive back.
Peyton Manning's happiest moment was the day Ty law retired.
Lmao I’m telling you! He DEFINITELY had Peyton Manning’s number.
After the 03 AFC championship game, he said if he ever got in the HOF, he would thank Payton Manning in his acceptance speech. 15 years later I was disappointed 🤣
One of the best pair of hands on a DB ever! Thank you Ty! Lots of amazing memories u created for me and my family. It was a family thing to watch the Patriots each Sunday!
I just met Ty Law. He was hands down one of the nicest, down to earth professional athletes or retired athlete that I have ever come across. Just such a great classy guy. Much Love.
Peyton Manning probably still sees Ty Law in his sleep.
On God. Them Indy vs NE games use to be wild
And ed reed
Legend that doesn’t get his flowers like others… absolute beast
Ty Law = Peyton Manning’s worst nemesis.
Yeah him and Mike Vanderjagt
Gatien Laurol Worst *nightmare
He truly is bru & Peyton's my favorite player ever so just imagine my pain
you could say Peyton fought the Law and the Law won
Beautiful. I could watch this all day.
Me 2
People used to call me ty law cuz I favored him in looks congratulations on the hof and Ty law should have been MVP of that Super Bowl and we need to make it known that Ty Law is a pro bowl Legend
One of the best ball hawks of all time
Damn 53 INT’s - 9TD’s -
As a kid it felt like Manning couldn’t figure him out.
True class act.
My dad owns a limo company in the Boston area & drove Ty for years ( picking him up this weekend when he comes home from the HOF )
Always treated my father w/respect & dignity.
Wish I could say the same for all the athletes/Celebs my dads driven over the years.
Top 3 A-Holes
Allen Iverson
Al Sharpton
Allen Thicke
( must be something in the name )
To think he could've had 15+, he was brought down inside the five yard line multiple times. A true ball hawk and lock down defender.
He picked off HOF QB's while covering HOF WR's. Enough said.
I mean wow. Just WOW. Ran better routes and had better hands then receivers. You thought he would bring them all back for this any time he got his hands on the ball, which was more often than offenses wanted lol. Amazing open field tackler. This is the prototype for a CB its exactly what you want in every way. He was incredible. What a player
Bout time ty law gets some respect
He jumped / undercut lots of routes, but he also was adept at just ripping the ball away from a WR’s hands.
Will never forget playing Madden '05 for the first time and seeing Law as one of the starting CBs on the All-Madden team (not surprsingly Champ was the other one). Jsn put out a great video of his highlights a while back but it's great to see his best moments in high quality now too. One of the best CBs ever; glad to see him in the Hall.
Loving the content recently!!!
Wondering if you can do more old school / underrated guys. It's so hard to find anything on them on UA-cam
Elway, Steve Young, Randall Cunningham, Unitas, Otto Graham, Sayers, Dorsett, Marcus Allen, Roger Craig, Atwater, Lott, K Houston, Night Train, Mel Blount, Rod Woodson, Kellen Winslow, Deacon Jones, Munoz....
That's a hall of Famer right here
Wow two long over due FHOFer's in two days, I love u guy's 🏈🤙
This showed he's Peyton's daddy 😂😂
U bastard 🤣🤣🤣🤣
My favorite patriots player all time. Back in the day with Malloy when they were the firm. These young is don’t know
How legit are these picks 😎 straight money! Solidified!
I'm glad you made this video, Ty is my favorite Patriot after Ben Coats but I haven't watched Ty Law plays in years and I'm noticing most of these interceptions The Law is basically in the receiver's pocket right next to the receiver stride for stride, the receivers cannot separate from him, that's a skill all in itself, Thanks for taking me back.
The greatest defensive back of all time
Always remember, Ty was a LEGAL player! They emphasized the contact rule after the game where he got 3 picks, yes, BUT the rule was made because Roman Phifer kept mauling Marcus Pollard, Law’s 3 picks were CLEAN!
Early 00s Patriots defenses where no joke asante samuel on the other side
Elijah barber it was ty poole on the other side from ty law, and then Samuel replaced law and Randall Gay replaced poole
Any linebacker in Law's place could have made those 3 picks.
@@chrisuncleahmad and how exactly do you know this?
So why wasn’t it called the Roman Phifer rule?
I love these highlights, but all they really do is make me miss Gil Santos' voice.
Ty Law was amazing!
If you mess with Ty Law you'll get picked by Ty Law and when you get picked by Ty Law, Ty Law wins
Law was the law in football 🏈
I approve this video
That dude was a real game changing force in his time every time he stepped on the field in uniform no matter what team he played for. He reminded me of a human torpedo on the loose that never missed hitting the target with great hands like an elite wide receiver and solid tackling skills like that of Ronny Lotte no matter what play you called. Once the ball is snapped and you had him on your team the worst nightmarish threat became a quarterback's reality resulting in destroying everything beyond repair.
Being a Pats fan it was funny to see Ty pick off Brady!! How can you not still cheer for him on another team!!
My favorite corner of all time. A true "Law" abiding citizen.
Loved this. Remember watching him as a kid. One of the best of his time.
Most underrated cornerback in NFL history this guy is a legend
Very great content you guys are the best thank you for all these videos
Thank you for watching!
Awesomr video like always! Dude should have been a first ballot or at least in his second year
Love the old jerseys with those massive shoulder pads
wish they can bring them back and wear it as an alternate since the 90's are ''in'' at the moment
Lol that dance @ 2:17
ty and champ the coolest names in football and the two best all around conners of there generation congrats to both but deff big thanks To ty for all those awesome memories up in Foxborough!!! you will always be a patriot!!!!!
Ty Law was the best lockdown corners in NFL history. His impact on the game was incredible, both as a shutdown cornerback and as a key contributor to championship teams. He continued to develop as a lockdown corner for shutting down top wideouts. He definitely wasn’t the fastest corner in the league, but he was very physical. He finished his career with 838 tackles, 169 pass deflections and 53 interceptions.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
Amazing.
Forever my favorite cornerback of all time Ty Law he was the interception king and when he hit you better watch out my favorite play of his is when he picked off Michael Irvin or when he picked off Kurt Warner in Super Bowl 36 those hands were pin point accuracy and knowing where the ball is that man is a legend
Law was definitely one of the best at his position. Also damn! Seems like the pats always gave the colts problems, even before brady came along
Champ Bailey and Ty Law was on the field together good luck passing
Great work
I did not miss a game back in the 90s...this takes me back
You know what made Ty Law great? Most Hall of Famers have great positioning skills, speed, strength and other skills. Ty Law was great cause he could run the route of the receivers, BETTER than the receivers!
"Tom Brady always beat Peyton" kids who don't know the pats had some of the most talented defenses of all time especially these years the first 3 rings do you see what these guys are doing out there that ain't Brady stopping Manning.
Belli was the mind behind one of the most dangerous defenses ever, the 80s Giants. Anybody who think Brady or Manning is supposed to do well against Bill is stupid. Plus they always perform in the clutch, he’s a hell of a play caller.
Peyton's comment upon his retirement that he always felt he was playing against a specific linebacker or defensive player is on point.
Belichick and Parcells created something special from the Giants in the 80's-the Patriots that cant be denied
Coming from a Patriots fan I don't think anyone in their right mind would think Brady did all that by himself we all know he had amazing Defenses thanks to Belichick
Best DB in this class.. hardware to prove it in the BIGGEST games he KILLED!
POLITICS and NFL haters kept him from 1st ballot.
He's finally home now.
As a pats fan I remember watching him when I was 3 years old my fav cb ever
one of the best to ever do it 🔥
I hate the patriots but ty law was one of my favorite players and he should of been a first ballot hof about time he gets in.
Most Underrated CB I know. Glad I grew up watching him
Very underrated. I don't remember him being a great athlete, but would always make plays.
The one dislike came from Peyton Manning
And Jim Irsay
Best corner back ever
My favorite corner growing up.
Once a Patriot always a Patriot now and forever
Ty law was my favorite corner
53 picks! Crazy!!
The goat!!!!!!!
Straight beast
Ty Law was so underrated truthfully he was one of my favorite DBs of all time an I never seen anyway have P. Manning number like Ty Law
Ty Law's football IQ was off the charts. Combine that with this strength, speed, hitting and hands and you get one of the 2 best CBs of the 2000s.
@Chris Paul Yeah, I can see Bailey possibly being ahead of Ty. Definitely Woodson. That is why I said Top 2.
Those 90s Royal blues😍😍
UNDERRATED
Damn he got some good picks off legends at QB.
Hey. I saw yesterday’s vid and I was wondering if you can do LaDainian Tomlinson. Just an idea THE JACKRABBIT. love your vids
Great athlete my dad was acctually able to meet him and went to super bowl xxxvi when he got that pick 6
They fought the Law and the Law won. Ty was legendary.
A true great
Coming from a pats fan I wish I could have seen him play
Are you 12 lmao?
@@ajww1329 15 he left the pats when I was 1
@@billywright9055 yeah bruh I'm 28 he was definitely fun too watch
I live in N.E. and was maybe 10-12 years old when I saw him play and he was the sole reason I got addicted to Patriots football at all. Every time he intercepted the football I got so excited. It was my goal as a kid to watch Patriots games just waiting for the moment Law would pick the ball off. I'll never forget watching that AFC game where he got Manning 3 times... this dude brought me so much joy as a kid. Way more than Tom Brady, and Brady's arguably the greatest QB that's played the game. I'm so amped that Law got into the HOF finally. So well deserved.
@@aviatr9542 I can't imagine how happy you were when he had that pick 6 in the superbowl safely I wasn't born yet to see that game.
Man this guy helped wreck my Colts chances on many occasions, he's a beast and I respect him greatly. How great was that Pats D though, Vrabel, Teddy B, Willie McG, Ty Law, etc...
Big Vince, Asante, Harrison too
Beast
My favorite corner of all-time
Man BRADY had a hell of a defense for those first 3 rings. It’s honestly RIDICULOUS how great those patriots defenses were
These were the teams that made me a Patriots fan. Ty Law, Teddy Bruschi, Richard Seymor, Rodney Harrison, Mike Vrabel, and Willie McGinest on defense and Troy Brown, Matt Light, David Patten, and Kevin Faulk on offense. Oh, and Tom Brady and Adam Vinatieri, can't forget those two.
