Thank you so much!
Glad I found you this morning. STUNNING. If I may make one suggestion…. You apologize way too much. This is a great tutorial, i love that you allowed us to see things you did and would suggest another way but you dont have to apologize. We are seeing these teachable videos free of charge and learning a great deal from your talent and willingness to share it. I mean this is the nicest way possible STOP 🛑 SAYING YOUR SORRY! or consider narrating at the end what you may have done differently and if you must apologize, say it once. Your very talented
Thank You for allowing me to be frank. I hope I haven’t offended you, if so I’m sorry
Love this bowl. Can't wait until after the holidays so I can start on it.
Thank you so much! That's great! Remember to have fun with it... It's really a no stresser project! I'd be perfect to relax with after the holidays! Happy holidays to you and yours!
Such gorgeous work Patrica 💕🙏🏽
Thank you so much!
This bowl is so beautiful! I love hiw you did the alcohol inks. The colors are so subtle.
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous! You take things we’re familiar with and make them your own. I’ve been binge watching your videos and really enjoy them. Thank you so very much. Need some new ideas.
Thank you so much! I try really hard to put my own twist on what I do.
Gorgeous 👌💕
Thank you very much!
This bowl is absolutely beautiful. ❤ Love the colors.
I know I'm late for the giveaway so congrats to whoever won.🎉
I've watched a couple bowl videos, mostly smaller bowls and those had only one layer. Yours having layers, I wonder if a parbake (15 mins) in between layers would've helped some. I've seen this done with jewelry and other projects. I don't remember the artists using any kind of Bake and Bond since it was only partially baked. I think I would be nervous not using something. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! To make sure it was all smooth it was easier to add the layers all raw. But I haven't tried it the other way so I'm not sure?
Gorgeous, thank you
You're welcome! Thank you very much!
i got a bowl just like this at Goodwill lol
That is so cool!!! She got it in Oklahoma.
Love this, it’s beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I made this, but in removing it from the 'mold',, it crumbled. I feel sure it was the transparent clay. I bought a new bar, & it was crumbly. I added softener & worked with it for several days to soften it. I was so discouraged. I'm going to buy a small glass dish & leave the clay attached to it. Thank you for the lovely cane anyway!! I just have to get some decent clay!!
I'm so very sorry this happened to you! May I ask what kind of clay you used? Was it Sculpey III? If it was that is the reason right there! There's nothing wrong with covering a dish and leaving it on there... That works too! Wishing you better luck on your 2nd bowl.
@@PatriciaBearden Thank you for your reply. It was Premo. That's all I ever use. I don't ever buy Sculpey lll. I have never, ever had it crumble like it did & I've made many dishes using glass molds. So, I have no idea what was wrong with the clay this time. I'm already planning the retry & using a clear dish to leave inside. It's too pretty not to try again! ☺️ Thank you!!
@@bentlife2541 you're welcome! Oh damn that is odd to have it crumble like that then! Yeah I'd leave it on the bowl... definitely if using the same batch of clay! Again, good luck with your 2nd bowl!
Why do you add the layer between the lace cane's? Very pretty 😍
Very good question, but it's not just a layer. I should have brought this up in the video! The pearl clay and the silver leaf add some shimmer you can see through the translucency of the lace cane! Also making this thicker gives you a more sturdier bowl. I found the bigger the bowl is the more flexible it is. So you want it to be a bit thicker especially if you're using a bigger bowl! Besides if you just slap some translucent canes on there and slap some alcohol ink on there I think it would be pretty dull, don't you? Hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful bowl. After you applied the silver clay to the rim, how long did you bake it to cure the rim?
You're welcome! I baked it for a hour.
I love the bowl. It is beautiful, but I don’t know what colors you used on the makume gane nor how to make it. And also cannot make the leaves. Did I somehow miss that part, or am I just stupid? Lol
Yeah sorry I had to split it up into 2 tutorials. It's in the description box but here it is. ua-cam.com/video/ZTRHF0SRiHI/v-deo.html
Your bowl is beautiful!
Thank you so much!
