You get water proofing membranes which can be used below the tile and cover some part of wall and floor. Installation in itself is a big skill and long training. We will take it up in future. Dear Sanjeev ji Few days back when someone (or it was you?)had asked me which brand product I have personally used for tile grout. I mentioned the Brand and the reasons why. Same brand's adhesive also I used. It was Ardex Endura. Ardex is a multinational German based brand having a JV in India. I had told that I knew their technical head and director and understood their quality control (it was earlier BAL Endura). Since I was happy to use their product earlier, so I used the same recently also (I used Gold Star variant). However, I do think that all good brands maintain good quality and follow standards. At OTF we are not promoting any specific brand(s) so we avoid naming brands unless it is unavoidable for the benefit of our audience. Thank you. Do you mean 'brick-bat coba' vs Tiling? The modern ideal method would be to carry out water proofing using water proofing membrane . It is very essential that floor-wall junctions are also sealed. Then tiling with proper slope for drainage.

Many people face leakages and seepage issue post tiling as few important things get ignored. Better would be vitrified tile but please keep gaps between tiles and fill them using Cementitious Grout, not epoxy grout.
