Can you make a video on russian (including soviet) colonialism of the muslims world, and even how it started over 400 years ago. Im sickened of muslims thinking the USSR and especially the Russian federation are friendly with muslims, they just think anyone thats anti western is automatically good, yet they ignore that the east (russia, China and their allies) are no different

We often talk about the year 1979 (1400H) being the most influential year for muslims in recent times, can you make a poll asking others what other years were the most impactful
    1991, 2001, 2011, 2021 ?
(Also with the corresponding hijri years, and also them beinng decades a part is just coincidence)
All four have had huge impacts. 1991 we had the collapse of USSR, Yugo slavia and the conflicts that started at that time, as well as the gulf war.
2001 is obvious and doesnt need explaining
2011 arab spring, the rise of i###, increase in muslim oppression and increase in muslim diaspora in the west
And 2021 had a few impactful things in the Ummah too

It never ceases to amaze me that this eventful situation in 1979 (my birth year). It would have ripple effects that spread across the ummah. The siege of Mecca until not to recently, was not that well known to the masses worldwide. It's a fascinating but undoubtedly a event which makes every Muslim grimace with sadness and pain. The sacred precincts of Al - haram were desrecated. And that unfortunately by fellow Muslims !! Allahumaa--ameen

      Wa Aleikum Salam Adnan
The Ikhwan that some modern critics talk against are the Ikhwanul-Muslimeen from Egypt, a totally different organisation and movement, however in the 1960s they left Egypt and moved to Saudi Arabia following a failed assassination attempt targeting president Nasser in October 1954.
He started cracking down after that and many left Egypt to become teachers and faculty members at institutes of higher learning in Saudi Arabia.
This Egyptian Ikhwan and the New Ikhwan if Juhayman somehow merged ideologically (a discussion that is never entertained in public platforms because it's something that is very difficult to get into) to give birth to the Islamic Awakening from 1960-1979.
Sayyid Qutb's brother Muhammad Qutb was among the Egyptians who moved to KSA in that period and imported Ikhwaani ideas
It's really a long and interesting epoch in Saudi History and we will delve very deep into it as part of the 8th session when we cover the Sahwah movement.
After 1979. The New Ikhwan was crushed and the Egyptian Ikhwan flushed out of KSA, members moved to Qatar, Kuwait and other nearby Arab nations. Others moved to America and Germany, where there is a massive base today.
So when we talk of the Ikhwan, there were 3 group.
      1. Ikhwan man ataa Allah. They were the army of Ibn Saud and he crushed them in the 1929 (battle of Sabilla)
      2. Ikhwan Al Muslimeen. Established in Egypt in 1945 by Hassan Al Banna
      3. The New Ikhwan under Juhayman which was formed after a fallout and split between members of the original Salafi Dawah branch (Madinah University) under the guidance of Sheikh Ibn Baz and those who rejected the government. The former continue to exist to this day, they are graduates from Madinah who are sent to make Da'wa all over the Western wold. The latter (rebels) were crushed in 1979.
MBS and his administration are well aware of the potential of a new gen Ikhwan emerging, which is why he is stern against anyone who appears to be critical of his reforms.
In conclusion. When you hear someone warning against the Ikhwan, it is not always the Ikhwan Al Muslimeen (although they are generally the subject of such critique and admonition).
Season 2 of GHP was supposed to delve into the history of Egyptian movements and their Ikhwan but that project would take far too long to realise.

what is wrong with the obsessive amounts of SFX jumpscares in the video? Had to turn up my volume since the narrator's audio is low but I had to deal with this obnoxious SFX
