I’m glad I watched your video. You just saved me a pricey headache.
i eventually took out the drilled pins and put in some smaller diameter ones so the dogs would open enough for quick hitch pins, but the whole thing is sloppy, rusted quickly and the rubber grips fell off. you’re better off spending the money on an imatch or a woods quick hitch. pats are fine if you’re not using any implements that will vibrate, rattle or bounce, in which case, they bolts break, they’re always out of alignment and you’ll need another top link.

Hello Tom. I’ve not seen much from you lately and don’t know when you published this video either. I appreciate your sharing. I’m sad you felt the need to get rid of most of the old IH stuff. I do understand your actually using your equipment to sustain your farm, whereas I’m playing! That’s why we served, so we have freedom of how we screw up! Lol. I’m a big believer in a tractor for every job, storage becomes an issue however. At this point in my life I may well be “buku dinky dau “. Paid in full on a blank check! Earned it. I appreciate your watching all of my videos. Do you have the bell icon selected? I’ve made quite a few about different things and I’m sorry you’ve missed them. I was definitely running out of room. Last summer was a struggle to get the hay all in and between breakdowns and a couple dangerous close calls, I opted to sell off most of my old stuff to buy a much newer tractor. I hope you have a safe and happy 2024
I use the JD Imatch quick hitch and like it a lot. I don't have most of the problems you identify. I do have an older attachment that won't work because of the width of the bottom attachment points. The other problem I have is that you have to be a contortionist to get the pto shaft on after you've attached my mower. I've started backing up near it and connecting the pto shaft before I attach to it.
I bought the Titan receiver hitch and it fits the Imatch fine. It is so handy having a trailer ball on the three point hitch so you can just pick up a trailer to move it.
Having a ball hitch on your 3-point is definitely a convenient way to move trailers around. Is your iMatch new or the old style with a fixed hook on the top?
I have been thinking of getting one. Not sure of the brand RK carries but looked at those. After watching your video I might just save the $200 and stick with the old fashioned way of hooking my bush hog and rear blade up. Thanks for the video.

This all sucks as I just ordered one of these quick hitches. I was initially unhappy about the bushings needed to use the hitch properly which cost $60 per implement and I have 4 implements to use this on. Guess I will just go back to Pat's quick hitch.

I bought some inexpensive bushings at tsc that seem to work pretty well and I changed the drilled pins on the latches to increase the clearance. So far, so good.
Most foreign made implements are not to the new standard and variations keep them from working with quick hitches. I have the Pats Quick Hitch and it works perfect. Doesn't add extra height like the one-piece hitches do.
Tom, I’ve never had one of those quick hitches. You shouldn’t have to disassemble those locks to get the implement off. I’d check out some other videos on it, and maybe a slight modification is needed? Thanks again for sharing.

It seems to me that for the most part, all manufacturers (JD might be an exception), are working towards a generic “one size fits all-perhaps with a wee mod here or there, system. I don’t have any rear attachments aside from my backhoe and that’s sub-framed, so I’m not sure if or when I’d look into one of these. But I’m thinking a bit of grinding on the face of the lock bar where the bushings set in, should solve the tight fit and not compromise the integrity of the entire tool.
I found the condition of the package disturbing!! Yea, I know those guys work long and hard under all conditions, but that package should be more hefty than that. I wasn’t impressed by the welds. Not at all. I didn’t look at the price, but I’m hoping it wasn’t crazy money. I can see it having its uses, so all in all, I think it’s tolerable. Nice review!!’

I think the black "adapter" on the top should mount to the implement. Remove the 2 red legs from the implement and turn the adapter around. I think it will work better. Don't have a fix for the bottom issue other than grind a little bit off of the retainer ears to clear the larger bushings. Going to try adding a HF quick hitch to my Super A or 140.
They’re expensive as all get out, but my John Deere iMatch is a 1000x better than the titan. I think I’ve read that others have had good luck with HF. Thank you for watching

There’s nothing else like it. It’s a dream hitch for sure.
I just went through this experience with the Titan hitch. The shipping material was destroyed on my hitch also and had some scratches along with damage on the lower link that mounts to the tractor link. I contacted the manufacturer customer service and what a total joke that was. I’m not happy with the hitch at all and will never do business with them again.Even the adapters that I bought from the manufacturer wouldn’t fit the pin correctly so I ended up having to face them off on my lathe to get the correct fit. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
The quick hitch won’t release over the draft links of whatever you’re attaching to either. I bought this for the only purpose of demonstrating what a piece of junk it is. I’m sorry yours is crap too
Yes indeed it is a total piece of garbage…I just hope other folks can see this before they deal with this Company….it’s the worst company ever to deal with when it comes to customer service….
I'm sure glad "Trak-tor Driver's " like those Quick-attach "quicky-junky-jukey-hitcheys", So l can laugh when l watch their Vidio's. I myself got "lured into the Idea"; tryed them & the "Fiasco-Continued". Just Realy Like my "Factory telescopic Link Ends"( two tractors); Reason= "THEY Do EVERYTHING RIGHT" ! My little Old 2000lb tractor does Not ,& only has the standard "solid swivel ends"; but no"biggy" because the Implement's it carrys can easily be attached also--- maybe 90seconds or LESS. I Realy think "Track-tor Drivers ", have ONE Main Proplem--- "Super-glue-itise" on the SEAT. Thank you Sir for the Excelent vidio & your "reinerations", and happy safe tractoring. Thank you for watching and I 💯 agree about the telescoping draft links. In my opinion, besides the IH Fast Hutch, those telescoping links are the best there is.
You need to know what size bushing you need there cat. 1-2-3 looked like to shaft was almost hitting
Bushing for 1. The latches won’t clear it. I don’t think Titan knows how to use a caliper. I also have a Titan weight box for my Max that was advertised as cat 1, but the pins are cat 0. Thank you for watching
Universal fit dictates you please some of the people some of the time etc.
Adding the bushing requires grinding the top of the swivel latch to clear the bushing.
Basically, you give a product a low star review and give yourself 5 stars if you can successfully modify it not to fail and perform satisfactory.
I wonder Tom…for a difference of $110.00, might a HarborFreight quick hitch serve just as well? Then again, the $110.00 extra might be money well spent?

Hey Tom! The weather and land in Maine is very similar to here in Newfoundland, Canada! We have 5 acres of trees land to clear…lots of alders! Any advice in terms of equipment???
I know you burn wood, so you’ll have to cut out all that. Burn piles for the brush and you’ll want to hire a guy with an excavator to stump it. If its just overgrown scrub, you can hire a guy with a bobcat and a grinder on the front. If it’s overgrown field, a 25-35 horse tractor with a bush hog. Do a video on your land😂
why not just put a Cat 2 pin on those implements instead of those bushings? or at least a Cat 1 to Cat 2 sleeve?

Why don't they just make floating lifting arms on these heavy implements. My Ford flail mower from the 1960's has them. It's so easy 😁

Even a Harbor Freight Quick Hitch is a lot better then that. I have a couple of John Deere quick hitches which of course are the best and I have one Harbor Freight quick hitch which isnt to shabby considering what it cost, I like it. But for sure way ahead of the one in your video.
That is ridiculous! Those bushings can not be correct in diameter, might be for a Cat. 3 hitch? The top adapter just looks wrong, now you have a double swivel. I will not be getting a quick hitch unless I refabricate all my implements. Take a look at how far in your QH is when mounted? It's tilted so far in you don't have any adjustment left to set up cutting, grading etc. I don't see the point and connecting the PTO looks like it's twice the problem plus you better make sure the slip-shaft is at the specified in-out depth. You don't want it coming apart lifting or lowering while engaged. This looks like it might work for someone that can weld, fabricate, re-engineer but I think it's going to give you trouble.
I hate it so much, I barely use it except for a weight box. I may eventually get a Land Pride or something, but I bought this strictly to make a video around. thank you for watching
Let's just be honest here. It's garbage. Garbage that costs several hundred dollars. I never had any trouble with Pat's once I got a longer top link which isn't expensive just go to Tractor Supply.

@@LedgemereHeritageFarm Mine always run loose and flop around but they've managed to hold as I sling the brush hog around at 5MPH. Mine are CAT2 and they're probably 4 years old. My brush hog is 900lbs so its a lot of force.
@@JMo268 mine always blew out the washers and lynch pins on the sides, the I bolts snapped, they were always out of alignment, you needed to buy a longer top link, the spreader bar that came with them bent and also was in the way of the power take off. I’ve owned 3 sets, one was a Tractor Supply Knockoff that held out pretty well and went with a tractor I sold, one was on a 50 hp John Deere with cat 2 and it was always sloppy and the third, I just heaved into the scrap pile
