Hi haggar. I've got the same car and start boxes. These things can be temperamental but they do need attention. And sometimes a good tick over and a good tune up. Thanks for the video. Great stuff your car was exactly the same as mine. It was covered in thick mud underneath. I've got to low power jet wash to it. Covered the Servos up. And blocked the carburetor Intake up. All the best Geff
Manufactured by a Taiwanese company called Hobao in 2001, the 4WD Hyper 7 Buggy model was also marketed in the USA by Ofna Racing. BTW Mr Orinoco I used to work for both Parcelforce & Royal Mail they are the same company.
Assumptions can lead to bad things happening, as did with your delivery. I'm sorry to hear Orinoco. The stories I could tell you about them ooh my god they'd shock you. But public viewable comments isn't the place to tell/show you them.
Yeah that happens all the time, it's the sizes and weights, if the royal mail are not happy to take it they pass it over to parcel force. Most of the time it happens at the counter when they take it of the customer. May I ask about what you said about driving heavy machinery, do you mean bulldozers & excavators ? I bet you've crushed some stuff in your time ? if you ever start a business burying EX wife's give me a call wont ya lol
Good Stuff man I am out here at 9pm doing break in last tank for today though getting late cannot wait to get property to run anything anytime I feel like it most I will do it piss off the old lady lol
When I was a Kid, we weren't Allowed to run 2 Stroke Nitro Indoors. What do these Toys pump into the Air that that Freaked out People unaffected by Shiney Things?
Great video haggard as always. If you get that hyper 7 button up you will have a ripper.I would probly tear it down and redo everything but thats me.See you on the next one my friend.
You were right that was great , that looks like it's going to work great , I've now tried twice to get that 3.3 Tmaxx to run but no luck , as soon as I press the starter it floods straight away , today I went through two starter batteries and three glow starters the best I got was a couple of pops as if it was trying to start then just flooded and the motor would not turn , I'm wondering if the carb is at fault or the starter motor has no guts as you would say , I will try once more then I might fix it permanently with a bloody big hammer lol .
Haha, it could be the carb. Take the fuel pipe off and drip a bit into the intake, see if that does anything. It’s impossible for it to flood then because the pipe’s off 😜
@HaggardRC its worth a try , just charging batteries now , I did notice on the carb the low speed needle was not flush as its meant to be , I counted around 2.5 turns to put it flush with the seat , I might try it later but all the bending has my back killing me , the engine has good compression so I believe it will go fingers crossed , thanks for replying to me , stay safe mate .
I have seriously hurt my finger on a starter box once because I wanted to know if these brushed motors are really that powerful 🤣 p.s. The switch was the first thing that got replaced because when I tried to turn over my motor there probably was too much current going through it that it smoked off ;) Then I took it out of the system and made an extension out of the starter-box, so I could plug my Lipo in, wich wouldnt have fit in the starter-box.
I've just found my old Hyper 7 buggy been forgotten about in garage for 15 if not 20 years... along with some 35% nitro that a quick google tells me will not be good to use... any idea what it's worth as parts/spares... or do you want it?
3 weeks wasn’t to bad I assume it was from Southern Ireland the Repbulic? And they charged VAT and a handling fee I suppose I just had the same thing! 👍
Yo Mr haggard..I've got another one..in kinda parts form..all diffs work fine...would gladly donate it to ya..love your channel.mate..I blooming love hyper 7s
Tray replacing the high speed need IL it probably will make run a lot better and you possibly not needed to fire up asmuch with out replacing for a new motor
if the start box is using 775 motor same as most drills it can go up to 12- 20v dc so any power tool battery pack or a laptop wall charger could be used to power will run at high speed the higher the voltage there should a rang that the motor can run at in the start box. a adjustable 5-24vdc 20amp powers supply that plugs in to the wall would be the best way to go 25$ can power any rc tool or part if needed
I've got one with a 12v acid battery but want charge up I'll order another once back from holiday or some tamiya ones I've got good ones but all on deans connections the ones with tamiya just die after charge
Hey haggard is there anyway I could speak with you directly? I’m very new to these and I got a used one and am having issues with it. Would like to chat with you personally. I listen to a lot of your videos and I love them. But haven’t found what I’m looking for as regards to help. Please and thank you

@@HaggardRCHow is that applicable to lubricating bearings? My original point stands. Using WD40 as a lubricant is generally a bad idea which was the point of my OP. Either way, nice video. I enjoyed seeing the old girl fire up.
@@2wheelLove You know me dude, acceptable is a broad word lol. As long as it loosens it up… must admit I love WD40 I use it for everything, door locks, throttle cables, hinges 😅
@@HaggardRC hi mate. In my radio box there’s 4 wires and I am trying to figure out the set up to get the radio gear to work with them all. Have a look at your one it’s on the hobao hyper st. Cheers

Put another support under that engine shelf dude, it's driving me nuts!!!!. Another great video as usual
I wedged it with a mustard tin.
I was eyeing that too lol
Hyper 7s still on sale today just proves they been tried and tested through the ages and come out on top
What kind of Warnings come on the Engine Literature, and Fuel Bottles?
I wasn't allowed to Run these Engines Indoors, when I was a "wee lad."

Thanks for the content buddy, I've just got the same old Nitro 7 running after it sitting for almost 10 year. Not sure how to fine tune it though.
Yes, the front wheels are turning backwards.
Backwards, like 2-Stroking Nitro-Methane into a Confined Area?
Yup.
Nice job,new o rings in the needles and you are good to go.

Good see it run
nice one mate is that's a omega 8p.21
Love the hyper 7 buggies
Me too!
I have one of these great cars
You want to have a long fuel line so when you're car is upside down it will stay running till the corner marshel can get to it.
That’s also what clunks are for 😜
It appears that you turned the Hi speed needle in too much, but I could be wrong,
Nice bud let know like for it
Brilliant
Love hyper 7 I've got one idbuy off you
Whats best battery size for box please the 3000 seem to not be holding charge or power to turn over
5300 then or a lead acid is better! :)

The wheel on that box is huge and probably not helping as it will be rubbing on the chassis, not withstanding the dodgy connections.
Ehyyyyyy what's up brother??
Clouds ☁️🧐
i would use that for go cart the motor so big m8 got///// electric scooter tacks 3 12v 20 hr
dont forget guys WD40 is not a LUBE/OIL its a water dispercer.
That's a common myth. It displaces water AND it's a lubricant. What the lubricant is appropriate for is up to you.
@bigsmokerc that’s right.
Pivot ball suspension...pbs...
wd40 is for water displacement, not lubrication. It may loosen things up but in the end will make things worse. You are better off using that 3in1.
It quite literally says on the tin it loosens rusted nuts and bolts and stops squeaks dude

@scottmoffat8378 4 wires? You must have a reverse servo or something? Anyway steering is 1 and throttle is 2, battery will be Batt

It looks like it goes to the switch on the top but thinking of just getting rid of it
Cant beat a hyper 7 manc

Bloody customs tax.
Bro wear mask or something because you smelling that nitro smoke in closed room not good for health.
