I'm following along but not changing color every round. After round 2, if I keep the same color, how do I begin round 3? I really don't want to cut the yarn if I'm continuing with the same color! Any advice appreciated.

I’m not changing color and just want to work continuously. For whatever reason, I’m having difficulty figuring out how to join each round before moving forward. Is there a chart?
Hi Natalie - wow that will look lovely in one colour! I don't think there was a chart for this one but if you click on to the pattern page you can download the whole thing, and that might help you - here's the page www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/c/article/learn-c2c-in-the-round-with-emma-leith merion xx
But this isn’t corner to corner. It’s a block stitch worked in the round to make a square. C2C means corner to corner and it means just what it sounds like… worked diagonally from 1 corner to the opposing corner. No wonder so many people are confused about what C2C is.
Hey there, Thanks so much for your feedback. You are absolutely right, the traditional C2C is worked from corner to corner as you described ❤️ C2C in the round is a slightly different technique but would still be called C2C (in the round)🥰
NannyVal, that is not silly at all! Yes, you can absolutely just keep going for one big blanket xxxxx that would be GORGEOUS xxxx thanks for tuning in! Love, Merion xx

Hey Amy! Half squares are essentially worked in half rounds, so instead of crocheting all around, as you would normally do, you would stop half way, turn your work and crochet back! We actually have a free pattern available, which will help you practise this technique: www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/half-and-half-granny-square-crochet-pattern-by-keep-calm-and-crochet-on-uk?country=GB I hope this is useful. I’m confused. You’re saying treble but you’re only doing a yo for a double crochet. Isn’t a treble a yo of 2? Even your book Colorful Crochet says that.
Hi Gail, this tutorial uses UK crochet terms. In US terms, a double crochet = a UK treble. I'll make sure the description is updated to say this uses UK terminology. Thanks for letting us know, the LoveCrafts team x
This is awesome. I love the colors and the pattern and above all the beautiful work
Thank you for sharing this wonderful pattern and video. I love it!!!
Lovely pattern, thank you for sharing! Got ideas bursting out of my head now ☺️😍

If I just made a large square and did not want to do all that sewing, how would I finish up the edges
Just LOVE this!!! Thankyou so much! Can you maybe show us, if we don't change color, is the concept the same? Hugs. Mandy.
Hey Mandy! Glad you like it, we love it too! Yes the concept is the same if you don't change colours 🙂🧶

What a great idea . So I could just keep going for one large blanket ? Sorry if that sounds silly .

Thats what I want to do too, but wondering how would I border it 😊
If you join two white squares you need two purple squares below.. You should omit one of the white ones... It´s just simple geometry

Hey Annie,
If you would like to use only one colour, you would follow the same steps, without breaking the yarn :)
