I believe they did that on purpose because when all the clones transferred to Phase 2 armor, Rex was the only one who continued to use the Phase 1 chest plate due to its durability
I got This minifig in the set it came with when it was first released and it's always been one of my favorites but I had no idea how much it was worth! I'm definitely keeping that one safe and in good condition now that I know!
I consider myself very lucky finding a mint one on Facebook Marketplace for the equivalent of $13. The mum of some kid that had seemingly only ever built their sets to leave them on a shelf was selling a little bin of assembled sets, in which I spotted the figure. I asked for it alone and got my request approved. Spaghetti legs during the wait for her approval.
I have had phase 2 Captain Rex since it was released, and actually still have the entire set kept in a plastic tub (except for the $2 Obi Wan lol), and somehow kept it in mint condition even though I obtained it as a child. I recently found out how expensive it was, and I'm going to be keeping it a lot safer now. This torso looks pretty good, but the breastplate section looks a little asymmetrical.
I got the phase 2 Rex (including the whole set) in walmart for about $10 when I was around 11. About 2 years ago I was able to sell just Rex for around $250 alone
Hey Chris. Love your channel. I have an idea for a video. Since you have virtually every lego set. I’d like you to pick and show us your all time top 10 sets/mini figs.
If you are just a collector and love arts and crafts. I would suggest AV figures. The captain rex decals they have are pretty cheap and soo detailed. Its around $6 I think. If you don't like decals, then go to clone army customes for their printed figures. It would cost around $30 for the full captain rex. Both options have more detail with full rap around printing. AVs rex has the potential to scratch off since they use decals and not pad printing.
the cost of travelling from Australia to USA and back is probably going to cost more than buying the authentic figure, so unless they have one in Aus i'm outta luck haha, but still awesome regardless
Me who literally just resorted to buying a custom fan made figure because they're cheaper than they come on brick link, including shipping... But this video is hilarious, especially as somebody who has tried to make a custom Rex before.
I’ve been wanting to do this ever since these machines were announced; it’s only now that I actually had an hour and a half to spare and some friends who were game to sit and watch 😂
I might have to try this when I reserve an appt at the Downtown Disney minifigure print! For the legs though, would a 501st clone legs work? Also, what should we do for the helmet?
Bricklink doesn't even ship to my country, I have to ship it to Germany first where my sister lives, and have her ship it to where I live, which is why I barely buy it, so this will be quite useful
That would be super nice! I’d love leg printing too (and most of all torso printing on non-white torsos as right now you’re limited to a white background)
lol this is priceless. It is actually really cool; a modern take on clone sharpie-ing.
Exactly haha; I remember the days of custom decaling clones with sharpies…
@@DuckBricks I did that to my captain rex unfortunately, but I was able to clean it off today thank god
The Rex torso kinda looks like a early 2000's classic lego clone torso due to it's "simplicity"
Haha I can see that

Awesome! Yeah, this is one of the rarest Star Wars figures!

I tried that to get Davy Jones but unfortunately it was fake
Just subscribed an this video alone has given me the confidence to say, you will become a massive LEGO UA-camr. Here's to the future 📈
Haha Ty appreciate it!
same here lol

This is now a quick video, wait till the y-wing microfighter comes out lol

I just bought the clone army customs captain rex which looks a thousand times better and is like $30 instead of $200
I doubt it

Not only is this a great video idea but u did a great job.. Kudos
Ty!
Respect for all the time you put into it
I made a courscant Guard heavy trooper torso from Bf2 it doesn’t look the best but it reminds me of the good old days of sharpie customs

Dang, hopefully they open one sometime!
@@DuckBricks it'll be great! i'd love to create many famous clones like jessie and five's
Lego really needs to open more lego stores across the world
Wow nice I can’t wait to see next video
Glad you enjoyed!
This came out good! Nice job! 😁
Haha thanks 😂
first nice video
That was really cool! Subscribed 🎉
This is actually really cool
You could have used a tracing paper on the screen and drawing above it with the stylus

😂 this was awesome !!
Glad you enjoyed 😂
I like it because it reminds me of classic figures
Seems like i wasnt the only person with this thought

I am so happy that i got this set as a child and kept all of my legos.
Awesome!
Wow
Yo tengo está minifigura, pero tiene una pequeña muesca en el casco, pero ya venia de fabrica asi,¿Eso influye al valor?
I bought one in January, and than I found one in September in a bag of Lego at thrift store! 😂
I actually just realized how expensive this fig was and it’s been sitting on my shelf next to the speeder that comes in the set for years😂
same
Do they have pieces in gold? Can you make a Mr Gold?
can you actually print the ''ny i love'' yoda torso, buy a yoda and sell it for a high price?
My experience on eBay
• Phase 2 Cpt Rex Helmet £27
• Phase 2 Cpt Rex Tosro £15
• Phase 2 Cpt Rex Lega £20
= £62 instead of £100 not bad.
Nice
I paid 86 dollars for an excellent condition captain rex but I considered myself lucky
Going to a Lego design a torso, and remaking it as Captain Rez your a super Chad
Lmao I’m honestly just surprised it even came out ok
I have that figure, it is just very damaged because I got it when I was 5
Is there one in the Stoneridge shopping mall
I might have to try this when I reserve an appt at the Downtown Disney minifigure print! For the legs though, would a 501st clone legs work? Also, what should we do for the helmet?
Niiiceeeee. Now i just need to go to this lego store.... Wait i live in Europe. :(

Ayy nice!
pro tip: bring a ruler
0:35 that Machine is awesome in which country/legoshops do they have it ?
Great video :D love the idea.. 😂😁
Ty!
1:11 He's on 18th place
Whats so weird for me is I got the set he came in twice when I was younger sheesh I need to sell one 💀
Can you make custom legs for minifigs
my brother gifted me all his lego and I just checks how much its worth, I have the rex orignal from the set
Do you think LEGO would make a thing like this but for minifig heads?
That would be super nice! I’d love leg printing too (and most of all torso printing on non-white torsos as right now you’re limited to a white background)
Someone knows anywhere I can get a custom pauldron for rex? Something that looks close to the oficial minifig
cape cantina is a good place to get custom things like capes and pauldrons, they probably have rex's pauldron
Omg i have one
lol nice i just sold mine on eBay for an easy 135 bucks
I’m trying to pay $65 for a phase 1 Captain Rex
Did you get it?
@@ghostx5836 not yet
@@ghostx5836 nope but this Saturday I’ve got the clone army customs phase 1 captain Rex arriving to my house
