Lesbian here (and proud!), Sedona is not an unknown name especially in the wlw community. This isn't the first or second time that allegations have come fourth, and it's always the same thing. Sedona has always been abusive and has broken so many gorgeous gorgeous girls.

Fellow lesbian here. Yeah, there's a lot of abuse in gay relationships. When you grow up hated and internalizing all of that nastiness, it really messes with your head. I think it's an issue that society isn't ready to address yet. Even among allies, there's still a lot of quiet homophobia.
There's higher rates of alcoholism and drug use in the gay population too. Not only are gay people dealing with the aforementioned internalized hatred, but we're specifically targeted by alcohol and tobacco companies.
      But it's whatever tho 🤷

Bringing her girlfriend into the middle of a jungle with jaguars on an ATV without both their cellphones, looking her dead in the eyes and proceeding to shove her girlfriend off the ATV and leaving her in the middle of a dark jungle absolutely sounds like attempted murder.

My ex grabbed the wheel and we flipped down a hill 4 times and it took me awhile to be able to say he fully intended to kill me that day. Both of us. He got mad and grabbed it and yanked it on an icy highway in Canada at night. It’s hard to admit someone who says they love you and you were with for years tried to kill you but it’s not your fault or something to be ashamed of. I didn’t tell anyone the truth for years. Said it was just an accident. It was not an accident. The whole “you made me do it” thing is very familiar.

Honestly, Olivia's story shows how important a support system is for victims of abuse. She was going through the worst shit, and still clung to Sedona because she wasn't sure who else to talk to. The moment one of those girls said "Hey, this isn't cool," she finally got the courage she needed to just get the hell out. And she didn't have to suffer the burden of defending herself to Sedona in the moment, because the other girls took to that for her. It's good to have a posse.

Hey Luis, just to let you know that hello fresh is pretty problematic because I only saw one comment about it under this video. The company’s current employees are apparently forming unions because they are heavily underpaid and the work environment isn’t safe and many people have been injured because the storage facilities aren’t up to code and hazardous. You should definitely check it out since I heard it has been like that since 2021 and many of their employees are immigrants whose stay in their current countries heavily depends on their employment thus making them unable to protest in fear of getting fired. I didn’t do that much of a deep dive into it since it doesn’t affect me as hello fresh isn’t available in my country as far as I’m aware and I found about about these controversies not even a month ago and didn’t look up stuff until very recently. I hope my message is understandable as English isn’t my first language and I am writing this at midnight with my finished crochet cat next to me. Love your videos and energy, helped me pick up crochet again :] I hope you make more cool videos and look up the topic of hello fresh since they’re not the best sponsor yk :D I am very tired but at least I now have a cat

I've experienced something kind of similar with an ex and it takes a long time to recover from, even once you're physically okay. I hope she's doing okay now and has a good support system. Sadly abuse has no gender or sexuality, anyone can be abusive.

As someone with bipolar, it would not shock me if Sedona was genuinely manic. People don’t understand that there’s two types of mania, euphoric and dysphoric. Most people usually associate mania with euphoric mania, but dysphoric mania looks more like what is happening with Sedona right down to the erratic behavior and violence. Still bipolar is not an excuse for DV. I hope Olivia stays safe and Sedona gets some mental help.

I remember how my mom told me that when I was a baby, he beat her bloody on the highway and the cops arrested him. She told me she didn't press charges JUST because of that look. Lesbian here. I was in an abusive relationship for two years. It was bad and it took me getting out to realize just how bad it was. I feel like abusive relationships are so hetero-typed (specifically man-on-woman abuse) that when abuse happens in a gay relationship it's not as obvious. It sounds so stupid to say now that I'm out of the relationship, but I genuinely didn't think her hitting me was a big deal because she was a woman. I think it's a similar situation with hetero relationships where the woman is the abuser, it really should be so obvious, but it gets dismissed so much easier

I feel so awful for that poor woman. The fact that Olivia was an angel to Sedona pretty much the whole time, despite being treated terribly is just so sad. LOSER HELL FOR YOU, SEDONA

tbh in my experience abuse in queer relationships is just as common as in straight relationships, as someone who has been in both and has spent my life researching psychology, abuse will usually come from untreated mental illness (of any kind) and there's a lot of people who refuse to get treatment, regardless of sexuality

    • @Oaksprite
      @Oaksprite Місяць тому +16

My last relationship was wlw and it was soooo toxic. I was already traumatized by an ex-platonic friend who had done a lot of the stuff my then partner was doing to me but I was giving her passes and writing it off as her trauma informing her behavior and trying to give her space to grow and learn. But ultimately I knew something was super wrong and every time I tried to Google stuff about it not much was coming up so I would have to change the language to hetero descriptions. On the other hand, the abuse was so covert I wasn’t even sure if it was considered abuse, just that it was making me feel bad a lot of the time, which made everything more confusing. She would step over my boundaries constantly and then would tell me she didn’t agree with them or that they were unreasonable. Miss girl had a *diagnosed* mental illness that she was upfront about, but wasn’t honest about how much progress she’d made in therapy over the last few years. It was so bad that I went into a two week long manic episode and had to enroll myself into emergency online therapy because I felt like I was going insane. Meanwhile not telling anyone about it. It was affecting my work ethic, my sleep, I was in an apathetic depression. After I really started googling things effectively, I began to notice that unhealthy queer relationships are FAR more common than healthy ones because of how our culture is, i.e. no sexual or safety education on lesbian relationships, how abuse can manifest between partners in wlw and queer dynamics, how internalized misogyny can really impact how we view ourselves and our partners, how comp-het IS real even in gold star lesbians. All circling back to how our culture talks about and commercializes relationships solely in heteronormativity.
In my own wlw relationship and upon observing other women who have publicized theirs (couple channels, girls who aren’t influencers but just post everything online etc), it has all felt very performative. Relying heavily on the opinions and encouragement of people outside of the relationship. And I don’t want to put us all in a box but I do feel as though a majority of those relationships are overcompensating for something that is going on privately. This video being evidence of that. This can obviously be said about straight couples as well.
Overall, I do wish there were more published resources on the unhealthy dynamics of wlw and queer relationships, and how we as a community can offer support and heal from that trauma without passing it on. If you have any recs, lemme know! It’s always good to have.

In reality if someone’s a bad person , toxic , or has extreme insecurities, or mental health issues THEY CAN BE TOXIC AND ABUSIVE MAN OR WOMAN. It’s common in general bc so many ppl have one or most of these issues. Idk why everyone wants to make stuff abt gender etc. If anything men with more testosterone would be more aggressive and abusive if we’re going to base in on dumb bs like that. lol like let’s be real anyone can be abusive and abuse PERIOD is all well to common.

As a lesbian, I've been in about 11-ish relationship/situationships, 4 long term. Only one of those was genuinely abusive, which is about par for the course I think. The thing in lesbian relationships is most people don't think women CAN be abusive, which means they get away with more heinous things. This is why, in my experience, lesbian domestic violence/abuse sounds so severe. We don't learn to look for abuse from women, so it can really ramp up before any action is taken.

another gay women here! ive been following liv for well over a year so i was there from when she started dating sedona and all that shit and can say i always prayed that this relationship was gonna be different. liv is literally the sweetest, brightest, kindest most goregous girl ever and genuinely wouldnt hurt a fly. i cant believe sedona put her through all of this. fuck sedona prince.

The fact that things continued after the ATV tells me there is no way in hell that was the first instance of DV… I worked with DV victims for many years, and the first time victims are more often ready to nope out right away (but sadly, many are manipulated into staying), while the repeat victims are already in the cycle and are trying to excuse the behavior and “fix” things. Even if she were to be exaggerating a lot of it, from what we do see evidence of, I can’t imagine someone not already in the cycle still trying to salvage the relationship so hard right away. I’m so glad she is now free, and I hope Sedona faces consequences for what is clearly an ongoing pattern of behavior. No one deserves abuse.

My ex girlfriend used me as a rebound for her ex that SHE CHEATED ON HER WITH ME (without me knowing) and used me mentally, physically, emotionally and sexually.
Took me about six months to get over her.

Im guessing you didn’t know ,but hello fresh isn’t the best sponsor , it’s been involved in law suits wrongful practices , horrible treatment to employees ,supporting Israel military personnel for some reason , and in constant controversy since 2019, Ik it’s not as well known as somthing like better help but I’d still thought you’d like to know since your supporting their brand
I’m giving the benefit of the doubt guessing you took the sponorship unaware of controversy but I hope you can be alert for the future

Hey Louis I know you're a small creator and any sponsorship means a lot but please look into what Hello Fresh does to their workers and how much of a terrible business they are.
For someone who is such an advocate for abuse and punishing terrible people it seems incredibly hypocritical to take a hello fresh sponsorship.

I came from a mentally and physically abusive relationship, just last year. And it took me so long to leave, or even speak up.
I had no proof, and he was popular, you know? Everyone liked him, he was a great guy! Just not behind closed doors, not to me.
I thought no one believe me, when I told them the truth. And some people didn’t, but a lot of people did.
I hope videos like this urge abuse survivors to speak up, proof or not. Someone will believe you. And letting it all out will set you free in so many ways ❤
Also thank you Louis, I think you handled this well.

What she went through was horrible. It makes me want to hug her tight and give her someone to talk to to be safe.
