Direct capture footage from a Namco Downhill Bikers arcade machine, audio may be a bit noisier than usual. This particular machine came out of Canada's Wonderland.
This is really important video to have online because I believe this game is still not emulated correctly. Any footage of it that you capture on real hardware is important for preservation!
We used an Elgato capture card, a GBS 8200 signal converter/upscaler, and a VGA to HDMI adapter. The Systen 23 has a VGA connector which makes it easy to connect, but runs at 15 kHz which is why you'll need a signal converter.
@@pixelparadisearcade Thank you!! I really miss this game! When I was a child back in the south shore of Montreal, every time me and my family go to Megaplex Taschereau 18 owned and run by Cinémas Guzzo, we would play this game the first time we went up to the second floor. It's too bad there wasn't that many videos uploaded on this game. I wonder why?
@@Bammer2001 It hasn't been emulated successfully yet, and isn't a super common machine. One of the reasons I picked it up actually was to do some recordings because there isn't that much footage. If you're ever in southern Ontario, feel free to come by and give it a try!
@@pixelparadisearcade You know, I even tried it again when I found out Six Flags La Ronde had it in 2010, and managed to get first place. I don't recall what rider I played as (probably Ellen Howard) nor my time and technical points, but I know it was definitely the speed course.
Presentations of classic namco games are unbeatable

I wonder what you used to capture Namco System 23 direct footage? I may do the same for Motocross Go in the future.

Any updates on getting gameplay of this? Would love to see some since barely any footage exists online.
I'm still waiting for you to do a gameplay video! ☺
It'll come soon hopefully! One of the boards started acting up and giving the C404 error. We have a replacement on the way though!
No way!! 😂 Would you be able to do a playthrough??
It's in the works! I just have to finish fixing up the bikes, but once that's done I'll have some full single player/multiplayer footage up

@@pixelparadisearcade Why, let me follow up personally on that one!

I still play that game in the local arcade. 😎
Where's that?
