Thanks for the video! I have the '08 f350 Ford Super duty (V10) and just came back from Seattle - 6 hours with no cruise control. Not fun. I first checked the electrical harness connection and that fixed it right off the bat. Much appreciated
Thanks for your great video....Ordered my $15.00 cruise control switch....disconnected the old one...Worked like a champ.....You are a good instructor.....Thanks..
Thanks Clean electrical connection on brake pedal Fixed my problem with cruise control problem. Thanks for sharing. Made my Day. No labor cost ! Easy Fix. Thanks again.
Doood! Thank you so much! I just got done with a 650 mile drive where my cruise wasn't working all of the sudden. Cleaned the harness connector with contact cleaner and canned air. Now it works like a champ. Ready for my next job to west Texas.
Glad that got it, Hank. I wish my F150 HVAC Actuators were as easy a fix (ha). They're not too pricey until you see the labor cost. That's when UA-cam pays off big-time. I prefer to fix my own stuff, anyways. Hope the F250 stays running strong for ya. Full watch.
UA-cam saved me on fixing my driver side actuator. Didn't have to pull the dash like everyone kept telling me. Took about 25 mins to get heat back on driver side.
Thank you so much! Just fixed it, was the connector at the break pedal. Love the versatility of the 6.4, 645hp on stock engine, have 170k miles on it, not racing it, maybe I'm just lucky.
Thanks for this video! Replacing the switch under the cylinder fixed my problem! 2010 250 Lariat 6.4 with less than 50k miles and the cruise didn't work when I bought it a few weeks ago. I will say, the local AutoZone had the part in stock, but it was around $50. Seems like parts are more expensive in these covid times.
I assume that you have to remove the wiring from this part first, or can you remove the part then the wiring. I ask this because I can't see how to remove the wire harness.
Thank you for your video. I overthought it and felt it move once and kept trying to get at it. Turns out I broke it loose and had it replaced in less than 5 minutes.
Good job, I run into alot of dirty, loose and bad connections on alot of the newer vehicles. Everything is computerized and needs proper connectivity for voltages. Again good job brother, God Bless
I love my 08 /6.4. Other than a good maintenance program and a couple of inexpensive deletes that I did myself. I don't drive it like a race truck and she pulls whatever I put in it and behind it. The rest is a normal repair that most vehicles will have after the warranty. Now 3.65 K miles just put the third set of tires on it and one brake job. 😊👍👌
I had the front cover, rocker arms, turbos replaced. Egr/dpf deleted, new body bushings, new starter. That's off the top of my head..there might be more😳
Hamiltonville Farm Upgrade to a 6.7! I want a 2013-2016 KR with the updated dash and interior and I’m leaning towards keeping my 7.3 as well. By the time I man up and pull the trigger I will have well over 300k on the old girl.
Hello, great video my CC is not working so going to give it a shot this weekend. I did want to ask you a question unrelated to this, do both of your mirrors fold and extend? On my truck only the driver side does but not the passenger, In reading some articles looks like this may be common on 2010 F250 SD.
Glad you fix it, I changed my switch and nada, I also clean te harness in the brake pedal and nada. Dont know where to go next, any help is appreciated! Thank you
Thanks for showing this video I have an f450 2010 my cruise control went out I'll try to do that since I have this video I'll try to run do the brake pedal thing first and then if not I'll order the part
I found your great site, love that 250, and maybe you can help. I've been looking for a fix for my '08 F150 with full time brake warning light and only occasional cruise control. I have been looking and talking to local Ford dealer parts dept. I replaced a switch on the master cyl. but it is nothing like the one I'm seeing on YT, and the cutoff switch doesn't seem to be anywhere to be found....any thoughts?
Thanks for the video, my F350 cruise just quit. I noticed you have a DPF delete control on the dash. When did you install that and how has it effected your truck. I've thought of putting it on my '08, I only have 107K, but from what I read it could really extend the life of my truck not to mention improve mileage (currently around 14mpg). You mentioned all the repairs you had to do on the 6.4L, was that before or after the DPF delete? thanks
When I bought it l, it was already deleted. When they did all the work on the truck they added the tuner. I no longer have the truck. The bell housing got a crack in it. Such a shame bc I loved the truck but couldn't justify spending anymore money on it.
@@Hfoutdoorsyt actually I only replaced the switch that is on the master cylinder. I do a c115 chasis fault. It's a fault for the left front wheel speed sensor. I am getting an accurate speed reading on the left speed sensor according to my scanner. I'm going to try to replace the Abs sensor. Just not sure which one would be the left, drivers side or passenger side. I am assuming it's the drivers side. Because I Replaced the passenger side wheel bearing and it came with a new sensor. I think that c115 fault is what is causing the cruise control to never activate. I'm glad I changed that switch on the master through. That thing looked rough and it was only 15 bucks.
Thanks! Yeah, I wished I would have seen that comment about the fix before I drove all the way back to Florida from TN..lol Oh well, been about 10 days now since the repair and it still is working! So that's good.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news bc I’m normally a positive guy. But I had problem after problem with that truck. It was the worst truck I ever bought. Which is sad, bc I really like the King ranch package. But oh well, I wish you the best of luck. My recommendation would be to fix any issues as soon as they arise as opposed to letting them get away from you. Good luck. Hope it last a long time for you.
Yeah if I woulda bought it new, maybe I'd think different bc I keep my stuff up pretty decent. But a used one plaques with troubles was not for me. Lol. Thanks for watching 👍

Well for starters... It's a 6.4. There's your issue lmao. Sell it and get a 6.7 or 7.3. Guaranteed with the amount of money you have in that truck rebuilding the engine. You could have swapped the interior of the 7.3 to a 2016 completely. and done solid axle coil springs.
@@Hfoutdoorsyt Indeed about hindsight. Apparently single turbo setups instead of the compound have been mods for reliability. But hopefully your truck has the DPF deleted. Just came to this channel so don't know much about your truck.

I might have missed it. Did you check to see if when you hit the brakes it turns the cruise off then hit resume to reinstate it. Have a good one.
I may not have mentioned it, but yes, after the repair, you can hit the brakes to turn cruise off, then hit resume to reinstate it.
2009 f250 14k original miles cruise control stopped working.

Hey Hank, Could you have used a multi meter to check the first switch to see if it was working? Another great video!👍🏻 thanks for posting!😎✌🏻️
Now you tell me😳😳😳👍😂 thanks buddy
Where do you get that switch for 15 dollars
When the ford goes out why don't you get a 2nd dodge 24 valve you might like one they are easer than the 6.4
Right on!
Maybe it's the wrong one but autozone in arkansas is saying it's 135$ for that part for 2008 6.4
It might be that price now...this video was made over 2 years ago and prices on everything have sky rocketed

I don't know. Check online forums would be my suggestion. Thanks for watching 👍
Try replacing your steering wheel clock spring
What code did you have? I have p0578
My green light comes on, but the speed does not remain, any suggestions?
I’d try cleaning out the sensor behind the brake pedal.
So my light turns on and turns green so I might be that 15 dollar part?
Might try it. I’d try to clean out the connection behind the brake pedal first
Good job Hambone!
