At 3:06 he had that les paul screaming ive never heard anything like it this is what sets slash apart from other players he can switch to any style at anytime mixing hard rock with blues and a spanish style id buy a album with just slash solos on it!!
My family came over one night and i had this dvd playing and my dad was laughing he said look at that guys hair he looks like a freak then this solo came on nobody said a word my dad sat there and after the solo ended he asked whats his name? I told him slash he then said well slash is just badass he looked past the hair and cloths and seen pure talent
this jam starts at the end of 'Double Talkin' Jive' with a kinda Spanish feel to it-really nice. then Mr. Slash breaks into a cool blues riff, barely accompanied, and ends on the riff from 'Voodoo Child', of course. the song that u can hear the 1st few notes of as it ends is Civil War.
Hendrix was also a pioneer on the way, but it’s hard to deny slash’s finesse with the thing. He views it as a separate instrument and it’s obvious in his playing
Ok..then.... I had the privilege of listening to/as blues ball beginning at about 11 AM on a first date is on a first date down in a small venue in Seattle that no longer exists.... And awesome night I actually don't know when it ended there were so many songs the relationship ended but not for another year and a 1/2.... And it was a great deal as a whole
@TommmiB I don't really know, I wad amazed too when I heard that SRV like tone on a Les Paul...I have an identical LP, with the same pickups, I play into a valve amp, and I don't know how he could reach that awesome tone...
this is outro to double talking jive then a little blues cameo ending with voodoo child intro to civil war, loved the way he connected them :) and people commenting on this being blues or not, watch from 1:20
Slash uses Voodoo Chile/Child from Jimi Hendrix before he starts on Civil War. I'm not sure if he used it the whole tour...but I've seen him done that on some other clips.
@hendrix01993 try to learn the minor scale first. Then listen and play by ear without tabs. This is a solo improv, its meant to be played spontaneously and not tabbed. once you learn the scale, practice a few times and you'd be able to do it with no tabs. trust me, been there done that (tabs). you only get better without them.
the song in the beginning is the end to a song called double talkin jive from there use your illusion album, this version is just a little cooler cause its live its an awesome song, has a wicked riff
Dutch ESFchannel assuming your guitar is tuned to concert 440 f sharp a minor blues scale oe e major bles scale theres a change of scale type when flamencoing and in the last section too if you know scale to style you open 5 possible combinations of scales
he uses the EMB wah wah pedal, a special modified wah that he and kirk hammet is famous for having used during the 1990's. he doesn't use a rack-mounted dunlop crybaby as many seems to think..
@Kullervo 11 is on the thicker side wym? 8 and 9 is thin. 12 is usually the max unless you really wanna go heavy, but standard tuning would not work with 14
i love how slash combined flamenco ,blues and rock this man knows music .
Ya he likes Dorian and pentatonic too much
Because it’s the shit
yes
@@tezen6190 And he uses the harmonic minor a lot, as well Phrygian Harmonic minor which you can match with flamenco/spanish progressions
also matt sorum drums adds to the vibe
You gotta give the man credit. He switches styles so seamlessly. His feel, tone and phrasing is incomparable;
🎩 🎩 🎩
И ему музыканты группы вторят.... Они умеют слышать друг друга... Они интересно на суене взаимодействуют.
I've literally listened to this part maybe 10,000 times now and never get sick of it.
The same with me 😜👍
Yeah honestly it’s amazing
same
Sameeeeee
This is double talking jive tokyo 92

If you listen to the studio version of double talking jive it ends in a flamenco style playing.
My favourite guitarist, Slash is all style
At 2:14 probably one of the most underrated bluesy swing style runs I’ve heard
l think it reflects flamenco and blues
it's Hendrix's Voodoo Chile
@@dubfader5672 why all the people say chile, it`s child
@@ghirk6423 it's what Hendrix said
Slash this legendary music without a doubt the way and touch and impressive perfection Slash will always be a legend
The beginning sounds like a flamenco guitar. Badass
0:54 ascending lick from the Nightrain outro solo
The master of the Wah and half step bends!!!
John Abril There is only master of the wah and that's Jimi Hendrix.
Hendrix was also a pioneer on the way, but it’s hard to deny slash’s finesse with the thing. He views it as a separate instrument and it’s obvious in his playing
Heyyy have yo hear of Kirk Hammett lol JK
diffrent master with diffrent feel
This starts as a flamenco jam with the double talkin jive outro E, F, G, F, G and repeat
Slash is the master and God of the guitar♥️
slash is great wah-wah user, he knows his stuff ;]
Slash a mega star of rock and roll....
Incredibly amazing
Flamenco Spanish melodies+ Eastern/ arabian/ Phrygian melodies + SLASH = OUT OF THE WORLD 😍😍
0:48 that lick sounds so awesome!
is a Flamenco scale
2:16 epic lick!!!
i love the harmonic minor scale
What an improvisation masterpiece
i was listening to Thin Lizzy's Bad Reputation, and the solo in that song reminded me of this solo lol
execution and technique at its best, truly a masterpiece 👍🏽
Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion 1 world tour- 1992 in tokyo
2:22 fuckin awesome.
Double Talkin' Jive..... Love this song..
Slash Just A BIG THANKS For Your Awesome Music...You Are Great
@TommmiB neck pickups and the humbuckers he uses and also have the reverb on the amp fairly high
ele fez uma mistura de flamenco com blues e do nada voodoo child ele é d mais
The thing that makes this so good is how Slash knew how to pace his phrasing, something he totally lost when he quit the H.
God damn it, how can people dislike this? It's a master piece!
flamenco blues funkyy jendrix!!!!
@TommmiB
Special pick-ups you can switch to have single-coil sound
Slash is a huge Hendrix fan and its evident here.
1:21 is my favorite part
Voodoooooo slash!
Ok..then....

I miss this version of Slash
@bondman00794 its D# Phrygian Dominant and then a minor blues scale. (D# because knowing Guns N Roses they'd be tuned down a half step)
To put it quite bluntly, what a fucking genius.
@TommmiB I don't really know, I wad amazed too when I heard that SRV like tone on a Les Paul...I have an identical LP, with the same pickups, I play into a valve amp, and I don't know how he could reach that awesome tone...
he's the best :P
I wish i could have been there (wherever they were) when B.B. King and Slash played together oh my gawd im so pissed i missed it
Does anybody know the notes or chords Slash is playing from 01:20 ?? that blues lick is really awesome! someone help
i have a pretty accurate tab if u like
@@olivier5700 yes please!!! I mean Im still a fair beginner, almost been playing for a year and I really would love that!

3:33 Jimi Hendrix voodoo child
he played flamenco w a pick
the solo before this on Double Talkin' Jive is immense
Mindblowing!!!!!!!AWESOME...!!!!
double talkin' jive
@LikkerDicker No. The lick he's talking about is from Voodoo Child (Slight Return), not Voodoo Chile. Voodoo Chile is something completely different.
when wah wah pedal enter.... is so fucking awesome
Anyone knows where to find the tabs for this solo????

@MisterRafiki that was a quick. less than a minute to burst? and boom goes the dynamite.

I think he's using Harmonic minor scale to do that flamengo solo..
Is that Voodoo Child? OMG! I still got the blues for myself cause I was born too late.
2:07🎸♥️
this is flawless!
@TommmiB his pickups seymour duncan alnico 2 pros

@TommmiB i think it's the out of phrase tone...

Lol thats like mix of spanish, harmonic , lil blues , and some jimi hendrix at the end just sick slash rulez
AMAZING !!!
Iberian arpeggios kick off the Blues...
latin solo , bkues solo, and sexy rock and roll solo and finnish with a little vodoo child.

@TommmiB well its not really strat tone but chorus pšedal help a lot
i'd say this is more spanish than blues, love the song though, this is the end of double talkin jive if im not mistaken?
His guitar is sick
i heard in an interview once that they put in a ad for rock guitarist, BLUES influenced....and slash kept showin up 2 audition
@iSlash96 That is also true, so is EVH.

1:20 Fantastic!!!!!
The guitar he's using here looks like Jessica, his main stage axe through the 90s
it is an extended jam after the song double talking jive
Voodoo Child ?
That last part...
I can hear the clean of Marshall Silver Jubilee 😊
It is from song: Double Takin Jive
@gatunobk flamenco + blues
nossaa o slash toca muitoo :)
And it all resolves around Jimmy Hendrix
GOAT
greatest of all time S2
I know slash now uses 11 gauge but those look super thin 1:00
