    Thanks for the video! While I've been on DSB numerous times, this brings back a particularly fond memory from my trip in January 2010 from Kbh to Aarhus (still spelled Århus back then!) on an ICE3. I had flown into Kastrup but stayed a night in Nørrebro, so my trip didn't begin until the next day from Kbh H. Anyway, it was a lovely leisurely ride from early afternoon and by the time I arrived at my final destination (Rønde) it was already dark. Still have friends there I'm in touch with. Been in Europe regularly since then, but just haven't made it back to DK, hope to take care of that in a year or two! 🙂

    To me it is mind blowing to know that a country so small has so advanced train sistems...Here in Brazil we havent trains for peoples transportation, its a shame, cuz Brazil is so big and everything is so far, u have to use car or bus all the time...and it takes much longer than train, double time i guess...
    I rlly hope that my country would have a train system like Europe.

      @@SupermanGaming1080p No, it's not. Apart from ther fact that Brazil is certainly developped enough to have a good train system, the US, Canada, or Australia for example are highly developped countries too but have only a poor passenger rail service network. India on the other hand, sustains a widely developped network of passenger trains.

    Hi, Simon! I am traveling to Aarhus from Munich in December. I understand that you can catch a train from the Copenhagen (Kastrup) airport directly into Aarhus? My concern is that I have a big check-in suitcase, in addition to a smaller carry-on luggage. Will it be hard for me to carry my luggage into the train? Is there an elevator at the airport that I can take from the international arrivals area to the train platform? Is there enough space near the seats to put a big suitcase in? Thank you so much for any info you can share!

    • @Simon-Andersen
      @Simon-Andersen  Рік тому +6

      Yes, there is normally at least 1 direct train to Aarhus every hour from the Airport. The station is directly under the arrivals hall/terminal 3, just walk straight ahead there are elevators and escelators with a gentle slope. The trains have large racks above the seats and there is also good space between them but in case it wont fit there, each train also has at least one "flex" area where large luggage, bicycles prams etc... can be placed :-) Have a nice trip!

    • @Simon-Andersen
      @Simon-Andersen  2 роки тому +3

      If you book in advance either on DSBs website or App ayou can get what they called Orange tickets, they are only valid on the specific train but costs way less, there is a limited amount of tickets, so book as early as possible. The 425kr is only if you buy from a ticket machine on the day of travel and is valid on any train

    Quite a shame that this train is having really bad time right now. I've heard that they might get sold from DSB or scrapped and replaced by electric trains.
    PS: At 8:53 I noticed that there's a small platform lift. What was it intended for, since I'm not sure about the seat class in that section.

    • @Simon-Andersen
      @Simon-Andersen  2 роки тому +2

      Yes they will indeed be replaced as electrification gets completed and new trains arrive. Should be from about 2025. At 8:53 It was to be used by the trolly/service wagon to get to and from the low floor section. That area is the standard class / flex area :)
