I want the hissfits too hoping it won’t be too hard like maybe Macys or Entertainment Earth. I didn’t preorder on Paulmart cause I don’t want to pay $100 when retail is $75. I bought Jinafire today def excited for her but it’s a long wait with the made to order.
I’m not wowed by music fest either for Cleo, Frankie, Clawdeen & Lagoona doubt I’ll collect the Drac playset. I’m more excited for the ballerina themed skulltimate secrets line especially to get another Abbey.
People with prosthetics like that have to cut their clothing short because the fabric gets caught in the mechanical joint. Not to be offensive or direct but you're saying "sure" "sometimes" "maybe" on a topic you could educate yourself on by googling for 2 seconds, but you've chosen not to. I know you guys meant well, as like critiquing their fashion and doll design, rather than the disability aspect. But a lot of disabled people do consider their disability part of their identity because they're never going to not be disabled, its always going to be a part of them. Tho everyones different ofc ❤ As a disabled person, this read like "it's cool that they're disabled, but could they be a little less disabled sometimes?" Love you guys so I hope you take this as kindly as it was meant! ❤ I do agree they're keeping the dolls to a very tight aesthetic and not really branching out with the themes within each characters lineup. Like just switch up the prints a lil, give us yellow Draculaura like G1, i love the festival dolls but they are quickly starting to look quite "samey".

I assumed they were judging based on the one disabled person they knew. I knew someone who hid it, but that’s with the old prosthetics that didn’t have joints. Then I thought she was just saying they wanted matching shoes. Maybe because I couldn’t wrap my head around her suggesting that Frankie, a character based on a pieced together monster, should be not that…. Or not someone who represents those with prosthetics. I’m hoping that’s NOT what she meant
I didn't collect back when G1 or G2 was out. So G3 is new for me. I liked the thicker, more to scale bodies of G3. But I didn't know how this line worked, so I got the core dolls, then some had poly, so I got the monster ball, & I feel they're getting better, but had I known, I would have skipped the core & monster ball. Oh well, part of learning as a newer collector.
I agree with some of the, things you said about G3 in general. They do need to add, some new fun patterns in clothes or doll hair into characters, like with Clawdeen give her 3 hair color's mix blend in with the clothes same with Draculaura. I think Catty should do well in G3, but watch it people will buy her and then she will be popular just like Venus or Abbey if they given her a chance, and they will at some point. I know for a fact I'll buy her and restyle her, but add painted detail with her and then share it. I've actually gotten some people surprised with what I've done, with the G3 Twyla from the Neon Fright's Line or added detail to some of the G3 character's, I've got as of right now. I will get Cleo from the festival line and use her as a core doll for me, but put painted detail on her to make her stand out, just like I did with countless other characters.
I do love the MH x Polly Pocket collab. That will find its way into my collection. And Jonny is right about the fashion Polly’s having the chewy clothes 😂 those were the best as a kid!
I am excited for the monster fest Frankie and core refresh Frankie. I have every g3 Frankie besides the Amazon one. I love them! I do have a lot of other g3 dolls, too. I did order 2 Jinafire dolls. I have the Elissabat and Ghoulia YRU Shoes. I pre-ordered the striped Frankie creepers and will pre-order the Frankie striped jolt platforms.
It bugs me how people are saying, that g3 are getting repetitive - just look at g1. Majority of g1 dolls come with dresses. I have maybe 2 g1 dolls with pants or shorts and like 30-40 of those with dress. At first, I was not really into g3, but now, I started really appreciating them and I love them so much! (I don´t want to spread the hate - I just want to show it from a different prospective😊)
I am a full g3 collector only w the exception of some skullectors like Nightmare Before Christmas etc. And some G1 boy dolls and G1 play sets so mostly g3 and As much as I love it I dont have a lot of space and I don’t want to have shelves and shelves of dolls even if I could Although I have all the g3 dolls so far. I like Monster High because of the “Monster” in it and they are losing their monster essence I want to see deep creativity and dark creepy vibes and it’s just all a little “light” for me. Give me creepy or give me nothing So I’m excited about core refresh Frankie but I agree all the dolls styles are starting to run.

So…(I’m whining a bit) they had members do the work to choose but didn’t give us the exclusive to pre-order first? I loved Julia Ghoulias Mohawk but not $150 worth of ❤️ love. Which is weird since I don’t blink at the cost with a naked integrity doll. I actually prefer the body on g3 dolls as they don’t feel as fragile. But then I only bought Venus and Draculara with the cute hat. Plus I started collecting late and the other Draculara that I like are expensive. I did spend extra to buy the grey skinned Claudette.
I don't love every G3 that comes out like I did for G1. I definitely don't feel like I must have every single doll that releases especially not the poly girls. Just yuck!! I love Jinafire only wish the red accessories had won instead of jade green. Absolutely adore Rochelle which puts me in the oddside but thats ok, in life I love a lot of things in general that others don't. I don't follow the rules of "beauty". G3 is clearly not put out with kidults in mind. All the pinks and bright colors nah!! I miss the monster aspect of MH so much! They have been made to look too human presenting and I personally don't vibe with it.
DIY cardboard house? I prefer what little tikes did with the modular house of wood and it’s $175. I have seen the Victorian Barbie dream house for $90+ and they’re old. Some dream houses have gone up in value.
