Hi! Just want you to know that I've been following you on ig and to see glimpses of your art journey inspires me to keep pushing despite all the struggles I've been getting with my own art journey. I used to be super critical with my own work to the point where I get discouraged na to do more because I'm my worst basher 😅
But seeing you and all the other artist I follow get past a struggle like mine, it gives me strength talaga. Thanks so much! And now you have also been fueling my sculpting curiosity to put it into practice. I have purchased my first air dry clay lol I'm still a little scared but I'm really more excited now, so thanks for sharing your art journey with the world. Sometime we don't have any idea how much help we are giving by just truly being ourselves ❤️ and I wish for you to gain more and more success in the future

Sometimes I forget why I do what I do (like right now 😌), but reading messages like this reminds me that there are people I unknowingly inspire and reminds me to get going. what kind of air dry clay did you use I been trying to find good air dry clay but it alway crack when the clay get dry
I’m using the Jovi brand. It’s pretty normal for air dry clay to get cracks as the water evaporates when it hardens. It’s important to prep the clay first before sculpting to ensure that the moisture in the clay is evenly spread. Also, be cautious when using water in the clay. The softer it is, the more water it has. Therefore it will tend to have more cracks when it dries. I have a separate video about how I patch my sculpture when it cracks. I had a couple of sculptures, sealed, that have fallen on the floor I guess 2 feet high. It didn’t break. So. But still, it’s very fragile and needs to be well taken care of. I believe ceramic is much durable than air dry clay. And porcelain.

Antonio Usalla Jr ang primer ay ginagamit para pang”prepare” sa isang surface para pinturahan. Example, canvas, wood, metal, etc. So, kung ang concern mo ay dahil madaling maputol yung ginagawa mo, nasa mismong clay ang focus dapat at hindi sa primer. Subukan mong kapalan pa yung ginagamit mong clay para sa spikes at details, or alalay sa paggamit ng tubig sa clay. Kapag maraming tubig, mabilis masisira ang clay kapag natuyo sapagkat nagevaporate na yung tubig.
Hindi ako sigurado kung merong napapahid para mas lalong tumibay ang clay. Pero ang suggestion ko, sa mismong clay pa lang, dapat matibay na. Sana nakatulong :)

Hi ate, ano po ginagawa nyo para di sya ma expose sa air and hindi madali mag dry?
Habang nagssculpt, iniisprayan ko ng tubig gamit ang spritzer bottle para di mabilis magdry. Pero minsan may stage sa sculpting process na advantageous kapag nagddry up na siya. Depende rin sa condition ng clay eh.
Pag I need to continue the next day naman, I cover it with plastic wrap para di matuyo.
