In the section 9:39. The correct answer should be Not given. Why?
The passage does not mention whether the moa and the dodo inhabited adjacent habitats. It only states that the moa was widespread in New Zealand.It is possible that they did inhabit adjacent habitats, but it is also possible that they did not.
Correct me if I am wrong.

see there has been written 'OFTEN listed' in the passage, but in the question is mentioned 'Moa and Dodo inhabited', so here OFTEN is a trap.

(11:18) I don't seem to understand as to why the answer to question 5 is 'false' but the answer to question 6 is 'not given'. The text does not refute the possibility of the moa and dodo inhabiting adjacent habitats. However, question 6 is 'not given' because the text doesn't mention dodo bones being found in significant amounts. What makes question 5 false and question 6 not given, provided that they both share the same characteristic; the text not explicitly agreeing nor disagreeing with the expression.
Wow, this is exactly what I'm confused about right now because there's no mention of their habitats in the entire test 😩

I have a question. I did not understand 10:26. In the 5th option, it does not show contradictory but you have answered as False. I would select the Not Given option because there is no information about whether they lived in adjacent habitats. In the text, only it mentioned they listed alongside but no information about their habitats. Can you explain?

why is the answer to question 5 (in the second practice passage) not "not given"? The passage does not say anything about where the two birds inhabited. It does not say that the two birds used to live far from each other.

For 5th initial question, The passage does not have any information about whether Dodo and Moa lived in adjacent habitats, so shouldn't the answer be NOT GIVEN instead of FALSE?

12:34 Help! For “The moa and the dodo inhabited adjacent habitats”, I think the answer should be “Not Given” instead of “False”, as there isn’t information about their habitats that contradicts the statement. Am I wrong?

Why is number 5 FALSE? Listed and inhabited are 2 different things, they're not opposites. The passage didn't mention anything about habitats. So shouldn't the answer be NOT GIVEN?
5th is False because it is mentioned that people can take vitamin C supplement to avoid the risk of scurvy even if they do not eat well. 16:49
Yes, listed and inhabited have different meanings, but as mentioned in the video, do not draw a state line between words.
It is False rather than Not Given because the passage says dodos and moas used to have similar habitats in different places but not beside each other, so the question is completely contradicting. 9:30

My point is that even though dodos and moas were mentioned in the question, the question talks about habitats and that wasn't mentioned in the passage. So I still think the answer should be NOT GIVEN. I hope E2 clarifies this because I really need some enlightenment!

The statement “often listed alongside the dodo as a suitable species for de- extinction” meant that both dodo and moa were 2 species considered for genetic extraction and cloning but it did not state about their habitats.

But I made sure I watched E2 videos everyday for at least 20-30mins... I'm blown away cos I was concerned that I didn't have enough prep time! Here I am with a whooping 8.5😃😃😃

Why number 5 is not "Not Given" because the statement is talking about the habitat of moa and dodo while there is no information given about their habitat in the text?
Can you please make the video regarding the list of heading type questions because it seems to be difficult .
in the example there is a question that lime and lemon is a good source of Vit C, in a paragraph they used a fruit and vegetable so is that not a parallel synonym. ? i think the ans might be true

I do understand how "once widespread" contradicts "are common", but how come "listed" contradicts "inhabited" or "lived" ? From the text we don't know if these two species lived at the same time or not

At 13:57, we have chosen False for Q8. If looked closely, the Question suggests scurvy as a mild condition caused due to vitamin deficiency whereas the text mentions scurvy as a severe deficiency but it barely talks about scurvy as a condition. In fact, the following text in passage alludes to how it used to be a severe condition but it is silent on how severe of a condition it is in present times. So why didn't we choose Not Given as our answer?

Regarding the reading text about Moa.
I think the answer to question 5 and 7 should be not given.
It says the moa and dodo inhabited adjacent habitat. We don’t know that from the text because it’s just listed along side dodo as a candidate that can be brought back. No mention of their habitat. So how can we say it’s true or false.
Similarly for the satement
Japanese scientist have removed genetic material.
Well it says that have undertaken the task( key word undertaken) weather it’s extracted or they were successful we don’t know based on text.
Aside for the obvious mistake in question 5, question 6 could be true? It’s been said in the text that dodos are listed as suitable for de extincion and then they explain with the Mona, that one of the reasons of Mona been suitable for this is it’s large quantities of remains, so, in context, dodo been also a specie suitable for de extincion, would not mean that it also has a substancial quantities of remains?
The moa and the dodo inhabited adjacent habitats is NOT GIVEN as there is nothing mentioned about their habitat. Please explain.

I'm not a native English speaker but from my understanding of English,the answer to question 9 should be false because the passage states ' unlike most other animals', implying that not all animals but most.The question however generalises and implies that all animals. I feel strongly that the answer is False. Please explain further as my test is tomorrow.

Yes. I am greatly confused by this. The word *most* here doesn't imply that every animal produce vitamin C.
