These guys act like Yankee fans expect Hal to match or exceed the spending of the Dodgers when in reality, we don't want the owner of the Yankees to cry poor when they print money. They pretend that they have to dump Stroman's contract just so they can make a move. The Yankees could sign Tim Hill, and Bregman and still not even be close to the Dodgers payroll.
7:00.. Mr Kay, Hal was being polite to the other owners when he said: most of us.. He was trying not to present himself as having more money / affluence than the other teams/ owners. and he doesnt want to alienate the other owners come voting time,
Also it's harder to have longevity in baseball. Players know that, so they always want to cash in as soon as possible. Under a cap, we're absolutely gonna see less long term deals because teams will fear being stuck with a bad contract especially under a cap. Look at the Padres right now, they're stuck with that Boogerts contract for 9 more years, same with Machado. That's a nightmare scenario no teams want to deal with. Baseball absolutely doesn't need a salary cap
Worst part about all this is you're either on a greedy billionaire side, a greedy agent side, and a greedy athlete side. I don't care who wins. Just bring back 🐨🐻❄️🐨🐻❄️🐨🐻❄️🐨🐻❄️ LGM Ha.
Kay is acting like the dodgers are forcing the players to take the deferred contracts… players have the final say… east coast bias.. they cant stand the dodgers getting all the attention

If you add Bregman or Alonso to the current Blue Jays lineup, along with the SP they have, they could be relevant right now.
Lose Boras? Fans always say things like this. Boras will work with every owner.
Don't agree with Kay, NBA teams each have 12 players on a roster vs 25 in the MLB... If I was an MLB player I wouldn't want a cap
