    Wow this video is great! I'm glad I googled "diy squishmallow" and saw your video (it was the first result 🙂) bc this tutorial makes it look so easy! My daughter's 5th birthday is next week and she really wants a squishmallow (she's been begging me every time we go to the store 😅) but they're so expensive. She's going to love customizing the patterns and colors. **An extra special gift made just for her!** I may even enlarge the design for extra cuddles! Thank you!! ❤

    I just bought the pattern because my niece wants to make a squishy when she comes over in a few weeks. I have a feeling she's going to want to make the squirrel, but I'm confused on where the squirrel details are supposed to go. Do you have a picture of a completed one you can direct me to? Or the octopus?

    • @LetsMAKEItAcademy
      @LetsMAKEItAcademy  Рік тому +3

      Thank you so much for purchasing the pattern 😊! I do not have a completed squirrel but if you simply Google: Squishmallow squirrel-you will see it. As for the octopus, look on my channel, and I did create a large octopus, Squishmallow Tutorial. I called that tutorial SEA LIFE Squishmallows.

    My back body pattern has some kind of kink in the drawing. Should that be the case? This is the only piece of the pattern that I can't line up. Why. Yours is of a smooth angle. Wish I could take a picture to show you

    • @LetsMAKEItAcademy
      @LetsMAKEItAcademy  6 місяців тому +1

      It sounds it may be an issue in your printer. Why don’t you try downloading again and see if the kink is out. I definitely don’t have that in my copy.

    If we wanted to make them bigger than what you did, do we just have to enlarge it? And for smaller we shrink the pattern?

    I bought the pattern but I'm having issues when aligning the pages... in the part where you show the pattern on your computer screen the blue circles align, but when you print them and tape together, you don't align the blue circles (there are gaps which you complete with a black marker). This ends up altering the size depending on how I align the pages, so now I'm confused and afraid to waste fabric if I cut it wrong... is the curve of the belly pattern supposed to be larger than the hole for it in the front body piece?

    • @LetsMAKEItAcademy
      @LetsMAKEItAcademy  6 місяців тому +1

      When you print, make sure you print out 100%. Also make sure that your paper in your printer is neat and aligned. You may have to play with your printer settings. Yes I did fill in in certain areas where there are curves it doesn’t make a big difference on the pattern as you can see with my final results. The hole of the belly and the actual belly are near the same size so again, make sure that your, printer is at 100%. And use the increments at the top of the page to measure and make sure they align with 1 inch.

    Hi there! I purchased the tutorial and I can’t see anywhere where it lists how much fabric and stuffing is needed? How many Yards and Ounces of stuffing?

    • @LetsMAKEItAcademy
      @LetsMAKEItAcademy  Рік тому +4

      Hi Morgan 😊! The amount of yardage depends on how you decide to design your Squishmallow. Therefore, if you choose to do the front, back and bottom of the Squishmallow one color, .75 yards will be enough. I always buy 1 yard because it's not that much difference in cost. Also for the tummy and other details, that's a lot less fabric and again depends on what design you choose. For this I typically use my scraps, but if you don't have scraps, buy 1/2 yard of fabric. Let me know if if you need something else.

    Why didn’t you put the eyes on before you stuffed the body? It seems like it would be easier. Is there a reason I am not thinking of?

    • @LetsMAKEItAcademy
      @LetsMAKEItAcademy  Рік тому +3

      Yes you can put them on first but they may be off. I like to have the stuffing in first so I can see it’s final expression. If you saw them on before hand, the look may be different once you stop it. But there’s nothing wrong with putting them on first.
