She left a list of songs to be played at her Celebration of Life - I believe she left this song for me, to give me comfort. It brings the tears every time I play it, but also lots of comfort - she knew me only too well! A beautiful, haunting but comforting voice, and such simple but powerful words.

This song was released a few months after my mummy passed, and the lyrics really comforted me during my grief and solitude which lasted allot longer than what many consider normal. Her music especially this song helped me with my healing and sadness and grieving...I never felt so lonely and disconnected with the word until the day I lost my everything-my mother - a motherless child alone and lost is how i felt at 40. Always an Enya admirer ❤keep making music keep making the world a happier place keep nurturing us that are in pain
Grief doesn't follow some nonsense schedule. You take the time you need to heal and if anyone gives you static tell them to go play in traffic!
My Mom passed a little over five years ago now, and I still grieve for her, along with all my loved ones, including pets I've lost over the years, and I will probably have some degree of grief for the rest of my life.

My mum introduced me to Enya many years ago and when she died recently we had this song at the ceremony to celebrate her life during the reflective part of the ceremony. Everyone there felt very moved by this music, a very special piece of music.

She was my guardian angel: she gave me a thousand dreams, she always held me high, her love sheltered me through good times and bad times and since she pased away, only the time is keeping us apart... I know in my heart there's a place for me right beside her in heaven & when my time will come & we'll met again I'll tell her how honoured I was to have such a beautiful person in my life. She was capable to love truelly unconditionally. I love you grandma.

My grandmother passed away just last week and I heard this song for the first time today. As a child, my grandmother provided a safe and loving space for me when my mother could not. I discovered Enya's music around the same time I entered foster care and I bought every release for the peace and wonder it brought me. To hear this song now and to read these comments mean a lot to me.

That was 1996 and I listened to her songs while watching Hong Kong handover and that was pretty emotional, as a Chinese-American. Her music reminds me of those days.. even till today, I still love her music and awaken spiritually... She's the future in me.
