Did not realize how many great movies, John Huston was a part of. - either a director, actor, or both. In his career, he worked with the best of the best. The stars of the Hollywood Golden Era. I am also surprised of how many I have actually seen. Thank you for putting together and uploading this great video. The music was fantastic also!!! 😎💯👏📽️🎬🎥
Huston is also an actor in The Kremlin Letter. He plays the naval commander at the beginning who tells Patrick O'Neal he's been reassigned.
I have seen 32 of these movies....including some of the really horrible ones at the bottom....Tentacles and Casino Royale.....but let’s talk about the good. What a Top 10. Sad that Man Who Would Be King is not in the Top 5....but hard to argue against the classics that are higher ranked. Favorites include Adrian Messenger, Man Who Would Be King, Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison, Prizzi’s Honor and Chinatown. Voted up and shared.
Hi Bruce, thanks for the comment, vote and share, it is appreciated. Your 32 beats Flora's 26 I'm impressed, my tally was 23. That was a strong top 5, even Key Largo failed to get in there. The Man Who Would Be King did make the top 10 though, or did it? Can't remember.

I have seen 26 John Huston movies. I see that four of them are 9.0 or better. The lowest ranked movie I have seen is Battle For the Planet of the Apes. He did a lot of films with Humphrey Bogart. They worked extremely well together.
My favourite movies are The Maltese Falcon, Key Largo, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The African Queen, Chinatown, The Asphalt Jungle, The Man Who Would Be King, Heaven Knows Mr. Allison, The Misfits, Moby Dick, Night of the Iguana, and The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean.
Although I do mention them on UMR, I haven't mentioned on UA-cam before movies that were one viewing only for me. However, I want to say that Wise Blood freaked me out and Reflections in a Golden Eye was bothersome too.
The first poster from The African Queen is the most beautiful I have ever seen. Other favourite posters and stills are from The Maltese Falcon, Chinatown, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, Key Largo, The Man Who Would Be King, Moulin Rouge, Moby Dick, Heaven Knows Mr. Allison, Night of the Iguana, The Unforgiven, The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, and The Mackintosh Man.
Hi Flora, lots of popular classics here, especially with Humphrey Bogart, the problem I had was which one should be number 1, Maltese Falcon or Sierra Madre? The scores were so close. Sierra Madre contained one of Bogarts great performances, an ordinary man eaten away by greed and distrust, plus it won Huston his only Oscar for Best Director.
You beat my tally, I've seen 23 of 45, lots of favorites including the Bogart classics plus Chinatown, Wind and the Lion, Man Who Would Be King and Battle for the Planet of the Apes.

John Housten One of the best directors and his cast ensembles were incredible.I prefer to watch these old classics.Contempary cinema is 95% garbage
