Good review Sir.. I bought one of these (new in 2008) when I got back into motorcycling. I quite liked it and got amazing fuel mileage. How ever where I live..Canada's Eastt Coast it is pretty hilly and windy and in a strong head wind to get any where near 80KMH (50 MPH) I would have to leave it in 5th gear and rev the be-jesus out of it. Some people really put them down for being "gutless' but I found it a fun bike on Country roads. Thanks..
+Sparky Rides Again You son is a lucky person to have such a Dad. I just bought myself a CBR 300 R and I can hardly wait for Spring (It's in storage at the dealer)
I have just bought a 2004 model with 11900 miles on it. Broke down half way home, turns out it was just crap that had settled and needed blasting through and a new battery but it had been sat for a few months. Running fine now and hits 70+mph with a 14 stone lump on it. Far better than the new lexmoto I had.
I'm 28 years old and I got this bike for over 12 years. It's the same colour but 2005 carb model. 72k km but it still rocks and works fluently. This Bike is well made and I'm sure I will hit 100k km with it =)
@@thewatcher5248 Your never going to hit 90 on a 4t 125. 10 Stone and ride a 2t Aprilia RS125 and the speedo shows im riding at 98 ish top speed, but with a GPS Speedo it's actually around 80.
Hello ! I got same bike 2005 cbr 125 newly, No matter how hard I push the engine I can just arrive 95-100 km'h for top speed. I dont know what is the problem. Can u help me ?
Just got a 125rw ( apparently) have no idea on the difference, to a 125r, or IF there is any difference?? I brought for my Granddaughter she passed CBT just over a week ago, not a rider myself, she wanted digital everything, and the latest YZFR, my budget wouldn't spread that far for a 2nd hand bike, THIS is NOW my BIKE, she's just borrowing it, has she got a good bike.?
I think new riders should start with a 126cc scooter or a 2 stroke 100 cc scooter just so they don’t kill them selfs on it all dads want there kids too be safe
@@BikeMates Thanks mate. Ive got a bike dealer keeping an eye out for one for me. Ill let you know how i get on. It looked nice and stable when you were doing 70 on it. Im buying from a dealer as i know nothing about mechanics. Cheers.Did your lad pass his CBT?
@@patrickcrowson8639 good luck with your search, I’m sure you’ll find a good one. Yes my son passed his cbt and has since passed his A2 license so now he’s riding a restricted Kawasaki er6n.

Thanks for your comment my son loves it, but it's his first bike. I found it ok when I took it for a spin but it's quite flat where we live.

+Laurie Bass that must be hard having a new bike and having to wait to ride it. I'm sure you will enjoy it though.

Not really hard at all..1st bike in 5 years..:) Thank you.
People can say they are gutless but I still haven’t even nearly maxed mine out and done 80 on it
I still have mine I've had it from New in 2005 it's going to it's new owner on the 14th after 17 years I'm going to miss it loads

May I ask how much you paid?
@@hatemkhrouf8955 I paid £850 for the bike and spent around £500 on repairs including labour

Yes I have to agree It's very much a bullet proof bike and will go on forever
Well you need a new air box carb upgrade and new exhaust to get more power as you can get about 80/90 mph with the right upgrades FACT

Got my son a cbr125r when he first started nice little bikes
TRUCKING BIKER yes they're great little bikes I quite enjoy ridding it myself.
I sold mine Repsol 2006 mod with 70.000km great bike. I want one again. 😎
Thanks for that.
9 year old tires would make me nervous. IMHO, I would buy new ones. Especially for my kids first bike. Safety first.

Yes these are great little bikes for learners and the more experienced riders, your granddaughter will love it 👍
I'm just about to buy 1 tomorrow 2008 model
Marley Danziger congratulations, hope you enjoy your new ride 😀
Ride safe mate.
Will this be too small for a 19 stone gent? I just got my learners and want a manageable bike, but not one that makes me look stupid.
This is rather a small bike so I would suggest it’s probably not for you.
Well your fucked I know you and you look stupid even if you walking

Is the riding position upright on this bike. Thanks.
The riding position is slightly bent forward, but nothing like a sports bike.
How did he like the bike? Do you still have it? I’m looking at getting a bike in a year when I’m old enough.
they're good bikes mate👍 very small and learner friendly, and they don't break down.. ever!😂
Did you just suggest that 'ladies' don't drive more than 50 miles/hour ?? :,D Whahaha
Jupperna yes sorry that was my attempt at humour 😂😂
Nan says I can't do over 20
how much would you pay for a bike like this one. Cheers
A lot depends on the condition and mileage but you should be able to pick a nice one up for around £800 these days

How fast will the 125 go in mph. Thanks
The bike tops out around 70 mph
Hello there!
I am a new rider and I have exactly the same bike although its the 2005 model!
Any tips?
Stavros Baras Best tip I can give any rider is enjoy it and ride safe 👍. On a serious note if you have any questions let me know.
@@BikeMates I read that its a high rev bike. Assuming that, it vibrates a lot above 6k revs so that's normal right?
Stavros Baras yes quite normal to get vibes at higher revs, it’s only a single cylinder engine so vibration is to be expected 👍
If you say tiny take it you ride 1000cc about or a r1
When I said tiny I meant as in low thin and short ( physically tiny ) no reference to engine size. 125cc bikes are great fun.
Can you remind what he paid for the insurance back then
I think his insurance was £400 back then and he pays £130 for his er6n 650.
