Also, the short lived species are normally nothobrachias genus. Some other too, but the "annuals" can live anywhere from 8-18 months... User mileage may vary.

I love the coloration on the killifish but don’t necessarily want a 10 gallon tank for each type of killifish. With that being said, Can different varieties of killifish live in a large community tank?

Killifish are really cool. When you breed these, I would be interested in them. I only have native Killifish right now like, blackstripe topminnow, golden topminnows, gulf killifish, and plains killifish.
Hopefully I will be over run with them lol
