good morning happy sunday thank you gary for sharing your knowledge and experience, I would like to visit your repair shop
Much as I enjoy the teardowns and diagnosis, this rebuild is great. Thanks for taking the time to show it Gary 👍
Again fantastic Gary
Well done Mr Gary! I like it!
The durometer is likely different on those OR rings vs the aftermarket. Also they could be ever so slightly bigger.
My bushing remover is almost identical to yours and self made.
Hello form Bangkok,,,nice job.and thank you so much.
Great information video. Which car is having this transmission n what was wrong with it
I know this has nothing to do with the video, but it’s your most recent video so I need to ask a question? I have a 2014 dodge journey with the 62 TE transmission. All my gears going forward or great, but when I put it in reverse, it will only reverse on a level surface with my foot off the break. If I apply gas, it flips like RPMs go up, but I’m not reversing any faster. But if I feather the gas pedal lightly, I can get it to catch and reverse a little bit more. Call me as if I’m on a float, I will not be able to reverse. Checked fluid levels all fine,?transmission temperature fine.
You either have the early style low clutch drum or your reverse input clutch is no good, Internal Problem
Love the videos, but how about clutch pack clearance?
in the description , shows the clutch clearance
I am curious why you didn't check clutch clearance with a feeler gauge or an indicator?
I build so many of these i just do by feel, though i listed the clutch clearances in the description
@@GaryFerraro thanks for the reply, I really like your videos and like the build videos the best.
I HAVE 2 CARAVANS A2001 AND A 1998 WITH THE 41TE I USE +4 FLUID IN THEM IS THAT A MUST OR WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND
ATF +4 is good, i use the same
thanks and love the videos@@GaryFerraro
Gary Ferraro Are you familiar with the clunking issue when accelerating at lower speeds on the 6R100 transmission? If so, any ideas on the solution? Thank you sir.
I am not, the few 6R140 units i had here with shifting issues, dealer valvebody fixed the issues
@@GaryFerraro Thank you for the reply.
what does it mean if the clutches do not move on a air check?
@@ryanjames5799 They may not be applying correctly because there is a leak
@@GaryFerraro Happy 4th of July Weekend Sir. I did a wet test and got clutch movement. Thank You, I could not have completed this rebuild without your videos. Very helpful.

I saw online you should soak the clutch discs in tranny fluid for 30 minutes, is this true?
I do not but thats builders choice
