Dean Radin is a gift. I own every word he's put to paper, including the studies. He's kept the science of olde alive...the kind that keeps momentum specifically BECAUSE there will never be a conclusive answer.

This contains information superior to that drawn from angular desires. We should take our attention from a very broad scope, to that which is quantum in its singularity. The teacher is the practice and always will be time over time. Thanks Dr. Dean for the transference.

Engaging dialogue - the Siddhis and navigating awakening should be given more exploration - thank you

St. Teresa and St. John of the Cross were levitators, but no one seems to have explored what that was all about.

Saint John of Copertino is a Saint from Italy who was levitating in ecstasy states like St Teresa or John of the Cross. As Radin says the very big different is to use at will. I don't know but I think some of there at will siddhis have to do something with faith and the godhead. The fact that Jesus walked on water like this meditators is very interesting as I think Jesus wasnt meditating for 30 years.

I seem to remember Bernadette Roberts mentioning in one of her books that she levitated, too. She was very embarrassed about these things, though.

All of the saints engaged in some sort of intensified contemplative practice, and that seems to be the one common thread shared by all the saints of sage from across all traditions

Wonderful conversation! On the Divine Mayan Tzolk' een calendar, Dean Radin is called "Manifesting Offering", which is the same Mayan birthday as John Lennon and Credo Mutwa. Jeffrey, you are called "Harmonizing Wise One".

Julie Anderson knows about siddhi yoga firsthand being with the ultimate siddha yoga heart master Adi Da Samraj.. as she spoke about with Jeffrey on this show.

Epimaterialism could work as a descriptive word. Like epigenetics is a relatively new word. It includes genetics but discerns forces greater than genetics. Thank you for an excellent discussion.

Keep in mind, it was a scientist within the TM movement who blew the whistle on the scientific fraud in their own internal research. That was why he left; because he knew for a fact that the data was fraudulent.
Also, it was researchers outside the movement that called out the TM Effect-- the idea that meditation could bring peace and decrease crime throughout a location. They noted that if 1% of a population meditating would decrease crime rates, then why were crime rates rising in Fairfield, Iowa, a stronghold of meditators and the location of Maharishi University?
I see absolutely no evidence for yogic flying or levitation in the TM movement. They are just bouncing. I think this is a nonsensical "contribution" to society and religion.
It's long been known that excessive meditation is harmful.
What I found of most value in the wider yogic community was holistic health: nutrition, meditation, hatha yoga. The research into vegetarian diets and mostly plant-based diets-- something never discussed in this series-- is voluminous and overwhelmingly positive in terms of dramatically decreasing heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes, all of which are busting the health care budgets around the world. And some of this research was done on Christians like the Seventh Day Adventists who have pioneered in more strict plant-based diets.
Antidotally, hatha yoga, which has merged with conventional therapies, has been invaluable to me in fixing aches and pains as I get older. And meditation helps to reset my hyperactive mental states.
Also antidotally, I once I had a series of anxiety attacks and instead of taken prescribed sleeping pills I just brought out all that knowledge I had learned twenty years earlier about progressive relaxation, meditation, as well as yoga stretching and nutritional info about calming foods, and the attacks went away in about 10 days without taking any of the prescribed medications.
We need more attention being focused on these impressive health regimes-- Dr. Dean Ornish has used them in all his research, and his heart disease program is even used by some health insurance companies!!

The experience I had was a full body and mind rapture, best described as a joyous feeling of love and being very alive, while knowing it was of an extraordinary intensity. It lasted around 15 minutes it seemed, though time was not in the foreground of my awareness. It just seemed to go on long enough for me to observe, and then left a kind of "hangover" of the heightened feeling.

Maintaining samadhi or practicing samaya is not the only way to attain siddhis and learning to rest in one's senses can quiet the mind and siddhis will arise naturally. If awakening is your goal though the siddhis you don't necessarily develop because they keep you bound in attachments and create more karma and can lead to the "god" realms which only leads to being born in the hell realms.

Yoga is more profound than this, has karmic implications, is faith and devotion
