We'll never know since nobody likes running gopro footage in the top 5, let alone top 3 for the 450 class. Luckily, we have Stews 2012 Freestone gopro, and RVs 2013 season on gopro to know how fast an elite 450 rider can go. Unfortunately, we'll never know how fast Tomacs late moto charges look, or Kens early moto speed because they are all allergic to helmet cams apparently.
Defintely ACs last year on small bikes. He's likely already signed on for next year as Tomac's new teammate. Savatgy is either going to be at JGR or HRC, and judging how his 450 transition has been, probably JGR
There are single track trails in Michigan that are 3 times rougher than this track. Congrats to Adam and Dillon for posting faster lap times than anybody on a 450. Second moto, congrats to 1st through 9th in the 250's for having a faster lap than 1st through 9th is the 450's. The 250's are faster than the 450's. Is it because of the easy tracks, the bikes, or the talent?
it’s because the track is completely different for 450s lol. same reason why B practice posts faster laptomes than A practice. it doesn’t mean those riders in B practice are faster. the track in the middle to end of 450 moto 2 is waaaayy gnarlier than the track middle to end of 250 moto 2
I used to race MX and my take is that the lighter bikes and less power take less energy to ride fast on bumpy terrain. You can just ride them harder and easier on a whooped out track...
The tracks are too easy, and just about all the same kind of tracks now. I don't see any reason to waste a day at a national, and will probably never go to a pro race again. You see one of them, you see them all. With these easy tracks, it is all about the start. Nobody will ever start outside of the top ten and win again, unless you put Ferrandes and AC in the 450 class, on their 250's.
Seriously man, did you not listen to Zacho's interview on Weege's aftershow? He said he was completely physically spent and it took all of him to dig deep just to finish the race at the pace he was going... So that's an easy track? You ever think the bikes and riders are so good these days they make it look easier then it is? You get an average rider out there and they are going to struggle every lap. And also Tomac and Roczen on a 250 use to post faster lap times then the 450s all the time back when RV and RD were racing. Sometimes the 250s are easier to stay on top of the sand and to throw around which results in faster lap times.
AC said on the podium that not many riders will admit the track is tough and he was fatigued from it. Southwick is one of the most brutal tracks on the circuit. Sure it's like riding rails in the beginning, but as those holes and braking bumps develop later into the race, they can catch anyone off guard in the next lap.
They make it look so easy. Guys, trust me, the fitness this requires is unreal. It ain't like driving a car.
AKmotorider150 why did you have to say That no one asked?
Yup these guys are the most athletic guys on the planet
@@jeppedau8818 you sound like 12 year old in middle school grow up
AC’s pass on Cooper looked gnarly on TV, but from Adam’s POV, it looked like a walk in the park.
You really get a sense for how fast he was going with this video
Best one I've seen from this bloke.

@@thebordenasylum7726 only select pros are allowed to use gopros. That's why you hardly see any use them for pro motocross/ supercross.
I was there watching him

Let me guess, he'll be riding the 125cc class again and again and again.

I don’t think the tracks r easier or easy it’s just stacked out there u need a good start

Are you high? Easy southwick is probably one of the roughest track I'm the country, now try keeping that pace 30+2
