- I haven’t been able or allowed to see my Granddaughter (Storm❤️) in almost 2 months. It’s always hurtful to keep a child from family they love. Having her around would mean a lot considering what we’ve lost🙏🏽.. #GrandparentsRights is the LAW and I’m not playing. There are women that would appreciate anyone stepping up to give love/good life to a minor, fatherless child.

I'm going through the same thing with my deceased son's baby momma. I have not seen him since 5/29/22. These women do things out of spite to hurt others because they have something no one else does, a piece of your child. My son died before getting to meet his son! So very sad to hear may God intervene on your behalf you have rights too I totally agree with you. Just mean and unreasonably for no reason using that precious child as a pond just shameful It is so sad that you have in act laws just to see your grandchild/ grandchildren. That's ridiculous you have to get the courts involved just to get a person to do the right thing If they would only put the shoe on the other foot they know that they would not want to be treated the same way that they are treating others smh it's tragic that the child / children have to suffer for the idiotic decisions made by selfish and uncooperative adults who totally disregards the needs of the child / children. As my grandmother used to say use your head for more than a hat rack lol now I actually knows what that means. So sad that the children have to bear these injustices because we too stubborn to do what's best in the interest of the child / children Just pitiful and sad I pray God intervenes on your behalf 🙏
My ex-husband was my high school sweetheart and he became addicted to crack after my two children were born. I was advised by my mother to encourage them to always love him despite his actions and send them to his parents in the summer when they requested. I’m glad I did. They had an excellent relationship with the grands before they died but there father still hasn’t realized how special his children are but I still pray he will get it together one day. Please don’t give up and fight for your grand baby.

That's great, but every situation is different. Abuse could have been involved!! I Wouldn't suggest Anyone seeing someone in that case.
My ex in laws told me I was crazy, bipolar, making it all up, picking fights, etc. for wanting to do a family intervention. Then they shamed me for not doing one with his friends instead. he OD and died last year. They made sure me and his two baby girls get nothing. So I fought their grandparent rights case and won. I don’t regret it.

I'm so sorry this is happening. You lost your son and now you can't see your granddaughter. My heart aches for you. The mother is hindering her child from having a good relationship with her granddaddy and other loving relatives. I'm a mother of two and I never denied their father or any of his relatives from spending time with them regardless of our relationship.
I have a daughter like that. Depends on her mood. I backed up and loved at a distance. ❤

She is crazy! I would love to have had a an active grandfather for my children ESPECIALLY my son. There is so much value in having that relationship and connection with grandparents.
Rickey I feel you ! I went through the same in 2003 with my grandson mother. Court dates after Court dates to get some rights for visitation. We were told that we had no rights but the judge ordered supervised visitation. Eventually that was taken away. I have not seen or talked to hom for almost 6 years. He is grown now and you would think he would contacypt us but no he has not. We were made out to be the bad people by his mother and her parents. Keep fighting for your rights and I will keep praying for you.

I'm going through the same issues with my only grandchildren. The level of evil that is coming from my son's baby mama and to add insult to injury, her parents are down with the BS. My son is a good father to his children. If the children mother call and ask for money outside of what my son gives her on a monthly basis she get it with no quarrels. Money for ballet classes, money for clothes, projects at school and the list goes on. I have prayed to God and left it in his hands.

Rickey, keep fighting to see your grand baby. It’s important for her to know where she came from and who her family is. Whatever issues her mother is going through, hopefully she gets the resources she needs and put her feelings aside and allow her extended family to be involved in her life. I worked in the court system for over 17 years and I can truly understand how you feel. The children are always the ones to suffer. God Bless you. ❤

One of the problems we have as society is that some parents view children as property. As a entity that you can leverage for your own benefit. Parents become jealous of the love their child receives from others. I say this bc it’s been my experience. The best relationship in my life has been with my grandmother. The only person who has shown me UNCONDITIONAL love. My mom would try to manipulate her and say things like “if you want to see your grandchild pay me “X” dollars” or whatever it was that my mother wanted at the time. Brandon’s BM is playing a foul game, but when she is in a bind she may need to reach out to Mr. Smiley 🤷🏾♀️ Without knowing ANY of the facts, I’m just saying be careful biting the hand that feeds you. I’m praying that the family can come together and heal.

Child I was glade for my boys to have been with their dads and their family. I lost my mom when I was 14 yrs old. So that being said that my boys are closer on their dads side and I wouldn't have it any other way. My daughter is 21 and she is not mentally prepared right now because her Dad decided he would just cut ties with her during her 9th grade year because he felt like I was wrong about a conversation we had. I agree that Fathers are very important and should be a strong pillar in their Childrens lives. God only knows that I wish he felt the same way. You are 100% correct. You have ever right to see your Granddaughter. I'm grown now and my Granny and Grandpa is gone now. But some of the best times in my life were spending times with them. I miss them to this day and I think about them A lot and they been gone since the early 90s. I hope you win Rickey. Now, Ricky, I'm with you. I didn't play that with my daughter's father....and he was irresponsible as you know what. But I told my daughter when she was young and still now, "As long as your daddy is breathing air, you will see him, and you will respect him." Not that she tried not to, but I wanted my child to be CLEAR about my position in the matter. That way, his sisters, father, or any other relatives couldn't fill her head with JUNK . Kudos for fighting for your grandpa rights.
@Felicia Hinton-Ramey in my case my mom would try keeping us away from our father. She still holds onto that hurt though I'm in my 40s now.I hope the young woman gets some help with that so she can stop playing these dangerous games with the baby. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I’m going through the same thang…but the only difference is I can’t see my granddaughters. My son has passed away 2 1/2 years ago and I still haven’t seen my granddaughters. I had a relationship with the mother and my granddaughters. The mother didn’t even come or bring my granddaughters to my son’s homegoing. If I only had the money to fight, I would!!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My Child's father has custody of 2 kids and is getting custody of our. 14yr old I wasn't expecting him to step to step up when I asked and I'm so happy he did and I have a happiness in my heart when she loves the thought of having her father

Hi Rickey, I 💘 what you do and thank you, I married my high school sweetheart and we had 2 children, together 11 years and when I left the marriage due to his infidelities my in-laws thought I was crazy so therefore the (grandparents) wanted nothing to due with my children BUT I have a strong family who supported me...

So sorry to hear you are having to fight for your rights as a grandparent, especially so after losing Brandon. My grandparents were very active in raising and caring for me. I am forever grateful for the positive influences my grandmama blessed me with. Both of my children have died, the oldest in 2004 and the youngest 2020. I could not imagine life without my grandchildren and the joy of being with them. I praise God for my 3 awesome grandbaby momma's. Uncle, I hear your pain and I’m about to say this out of love. Please take this down. As much as you’re hurting I’m certain she and your granddaughter are too. This is new for all of you and no one knows how to navigate a loss until it happens. As a new mom the best thing you can do is give her time to figure this out and give her grace. They same grace you want and a parent that lost a child. Just let her know you’re there. Check in a couple of times. Yes I know it’s going to be hard to be away from your grand baby but her mother will come around. Continue to pray and God will do the rest. Following the passing of my brother, our family experienced the same thing. It was a nightmare since we were used as bargaining chips rather than to keep the relationship going. For years, we sold it and used the money. Our relationship with the kids suffered as a result. We weren't treated like family, but more like a bank. That stung, but I wished we had been more steadfast, backed off, and just put money aside so the kids could grow up and discover for themselves. Instead, for more than 20 years, we succumb to her manipulation. Never do it! Don't do it!

Ricky my heart aches for you I couldn't imagine not seeing any of my grandchildren so keep fighting on your behalf and especially your son. After all she is a part of you and especially her dad who gave you your precious granddaughter. At least let her be a part of your life due to the fact that your granddaughter is so young she won't remember her dad but at least she'll know where the other half of her life comes from. So hurtful and painful! My Son and I went through this 21 yrs ago! I cried many days and nights cause my grandchild was kept from us weeks and months at a time. GRANDPARENTS RIGHTS ABSOLUTELY EXIST! I know cause I fought for mine too! GOD BLESS YOU RICKEY! I KNOW YOU WILL CONTINUE FIGHTING FOR YOUR GRANDCHILD! Let me tell you ... I waited until my grandchild was 17 - 18 yrs old to TELL MY GRANDCHILD HOW WE FOUGHT HARD IN COURT FOR HER! I STILL have a binder of court papers for proof! AND I told my grandchild HOW I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON LAWYERS FIGHTING FOR MY SON'S RIGHTS AND MINE! Researched Family Law in bookstores, read books so I would know the law before ever attempting to fight in court! Just makes me sick to the stomach everytime I hear Dad stories like this! And I get triggered when I hear these stories or when I even THINK about how I was treated baby then and how my Son had to fight in court to TO SEE HIS FLESH AND BLOOD?! IT'S INSANELY HURTFUL! AND THE COURTS ARE IN FAVOR OF THE MOTHER NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF LYING DISRESPECTFUL PERSON SHE WAS EVEN WHEN SHE DIDN'T FOLLOW COURT ORDERS! They didn't put a warrant out for her cause she didn't show up in court? But it would have been easy for them to try locking up my Son if he didn't show up! Then it would take 3 mos or more to get another family court appt when the mother wouldn't show up 😢 yet in the meantime we didn't see that baby! Oh it's so sad!! Keep on fighting Rickey and start a movement for Father's rights and Grandparents rights. Perhaps do several interviews on your show with and re judges, lawyers, social workers, child psychologists ... teach the truth about father's, mother's and grandparent's rights! Let's hear from these people! Let's hear what the law says in YOUR CITY AND STATE! BE WELL RICKEY and be careful what you say online about your grandchild's mother cause she's bound to use some things against you in court. Love and hugs!

Yes Yes Ive been through it several times and it wear you out mentally. After my son passed away and he didnt have any children the mothers of my grandchildren from my other sons was really acting up. They try to hurt you especially when they know you love that child and think their putting you through a ringer. I stepped back and said nothing, prayed silently for 9 months. My grandson reached out to me crying and the mother saw how hurt he was. I commend you on what your doing and fighting for Brandon and keeping his memory alive and to make sure you take care of his child because your what she needs and Brandon knew that as well. Some of us don't have money for lawyers. All we have are prayers and faith. Praying God hears our hearts, especially when it comes to these children

I'm praying for you and your family from Dallas Texas I've been THERE went through hell trying to make sure my niece was SAFE. My niece is grown NOW and SHE has issues from her mother. Rickey did not play with her dad he tried to do the best he could to ensure Brandon got it together. Unfortunately he chose drugs I don't believe for one second he would have allowed Brandon to mistreat the baby at any time. This young lady knows what kind of man Rickey is and knows he is family orientated but when she needs help she will look to him an if he doesn't give in she will make him out to be a uncaring grand father.

Rickey Smiley u always speaking FACTS about my life. I got the same low down mess with my 3 Grandsons. It is sickening and I just keep doing my best to try & show my babies that they are loved. It's been so hard on me. Please keep sharing ur journey with us all I can do is right now is know that I'm not alone. Dealing with people that use my babies 4 ponds 2 hurt our family. U r right Rickey Smiley the children are suffering.

My mother was absolutely right about these grand babies’s mother’s , my mother always said if it’s your son’s child you will see that child if’n and whenever the mother lets you, but if it is your daughter’s child you will get tired of looking at them. I had that experience,my son’s baby mama was made at him and told me that I would never see her child again, at that time the child was about 1-2 yrs old, when I seen that child again she was about 10-11 yrs old at a funeral and I didn’t even know who she was neither did she know me, that was about 17-18 yrs ago, I haven’t seen her since. I don’t worry because her mother made her miss out, I don’t even know where they live. For whatever reason you should never separate a child from its family, mother/ father’s side,you will never know what might happen in this life, it used to bother me,but not now I’m ok with it. Ricky I can see how good you are with your grandchildren

Rickey as a woman who was a single mother, but had a great support system, I am so happy you posted this video. I am starting the process so that I can continue to be an active grandparent without foolishness getting in the way. It is beyond sad how some women use their children as pawns due to the fact they’re scorned and sour. If the child is not being mistreated, mishandled, abused etc. there is absolutely no reason the child(ren) should be kept from their family. Please continue to spread the word! Love you! 🤗❤️❤️❤️

With all due respect, this upload will not help the situation. Holding her parents accoutable is just as irrational as he sees her behavior. She is an adult. Just as his son. Parents can talk to their adult children but they cannot control them. This is an unfortunate situation. I hope there is a healthy outcome for the sake of the baby. There has been enough pain.

I'VE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES WITH 2 of my 4 GRANDS! The kid's mom and my son don't get along all the time and they're no longer togetehr as a couple so our time with the grands are dictated by whether or not they are getting along for the moment. Like many others on the thread, we have to love them from afar and let them know when the time allows that we always tried to be more engaged in their life but our requests always fell on deaf ears.😢😢
