"If you don't have a body, it doesn't matter" I beg to differ. Without a body how do I hold my guitar? The paper template looked very similar to an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis shape. Very tasty.
Great video, even though i´ve had CNC for quite many years now, i still make guitar templates, on my CNC by drawing the guitar shape in a software in scale 1:1 or buying a DXF drawing, then using my CNC to route out the template in MDF.. why ? Because i like to do some routing by hand when building a guitar, for example doing the holes on the front of the body like Pickups and Tremolo etc on the CNC, and the body outline, but using my handheld router and templates to route the holes on the back for example... :D cheers.
Good videos. I have a classic 50’s & it is divine in all aspects. I see your guitars mostly only have a single double coil configuration. Why only one pickup? Wouldn’t the three on a strat give more flexibility?
Looking forward to seeing the Jazzplorer in the future.
Haha 😅😆
9:45 I also just do jigsaw and then either files or grinder

Haha well this is true! And yeah I suppose it does look like the Axis, I didn't see that before
the explorer is definitely my favourite model, but i would love to see a JA baritone clone
Oooff yes please
I like your channel man! I just found it recently.
Thank you mate I appreciate that
Eh, I’d really recommend his channel. Hi giant guitars
5:20 grinder and 80 grit
I’ve been looking at buying a set of these.. maybe I’ll try making my own set

i assume the explorer will be single pickup? a bit like the Jackson Kelly Marty Friedman used in Megadeth?
Oh yes haha, well that is if I draw it to make one 🫢🤫
i print up a paper of a previous design like the explorer, than I alter it, cut it out, trace it to an MDF, then I cut the mdf out 2:20
Perfect! I'm out of toner and haven't ordered any in like 4 months lol so this had to do 😂
@@Giant_Guitars dude, for sure, you recommended it after I typed comment, lol, yea I got paper the other but I hate getting printer ink

Less magnetic force on the strings thus a different sound.
I need to try the shape that I keep imagining
Yep do it
id love an explorer
6:00 its like $10 of material though
and you use like 1/3 of it per template
I got it for free though!
That's cool 😮
Cheers Timmy
Is the neck glue on or bolt on
Glue on bud but if you're using templates to make your own guitars you can do whatever
Cool
Can i have one of your tremolo guitar, im desperately need one😢
I'll be doing another competition very soon!
