    Greetings from Serbian beekeeper. Why are you removing wax on top.? I usually keep it because that is what bees use to climb to next honey supper.

    Thank you for this video. I'll also live in Central Florida. I'm getting ready to split. Probably both of my hives. I'm confused about all this. Do I have to split them? Can I just leave them the way that they are and take away the honey supers when winter comes? Anyway, I live about 18 mi south of Daytona. The Brazilian peppers are starting to bloom and I'm waiting to get all the Honey I can get then. I'm probably going to split the hives. Do you take your hives away after you split them? I was told that you really should do that .
