Gorgeous little enclosure. I just FINALLY bought a Dremel myself, and it's been great for putting the vent holes in the hard plastics. Man, I forgot just how beautiful they are when they are slings. Gorgeous T! Great stuff!

Thats smart to put a rock into the water bowl to avoid drowning even tho its a low risk. I'm getting my first 2 spiders this week and it's gonna be 2x Caribena versicolor slings :)
It looks like a she to me! I love these spiders, Avics are my favourite genus and the Versicolor are just too cute and so fun to watch, mine attacks water, swings upside down on her web and is just funny to watch her doing daft things, I would recommend a versi to anyone who keeps T’s and hasn’t got one yet!

Well Versi’s and other Avics naturally go up, instead of trying to get him/her to go down with the paintbrush. Flip the entire enclosure upside down as you intended and it would’ve went up in 2 seconds... but yea this vid was along time ago, but yea for future endeavors:)

Sweet video Dave!!! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that has trouble getting these little goobers to go inside. I received three last week and only one has behaved itself, lol. I have an avic braunshauseni and she's a peach compared to them. My Irminia is also a peach compared to them, lol. And they absolutely will not eat. Not even prekilled food. Smh

Dave Scott432 Omgosh, I'm sorry to hear that 😨. Well the two that didn't get stuck in their molts takes down small to medium size crickets but the one that got stuck seemed interested in the cricket that I gave her We'd but quickly bolted on me and so I tried a piece of mealworm and she cowered in the corner of her web. I believe the container I had her in was to big so I put her in a smaller one yesterday. So today I went and got her some really tiny crickets and she ate two of them, thank God. The other two have calmed down alot to. I can now open their enclosures without them trying to come out. I still don't trust them, I think they're lying wait till I'm not paying close attention and on my hand they'll be again, lol. Nope
Thank u unfortunately it happens front time to time ...im very happy to hear they r eating for u ..it's crazy how much we worry about or little slings lol ..its good that u downsized the enclosures I'm OK with giving slings more room than most keepers would / do ...as long as they r feeding ok...but if they don't feed well then I downsize them again as u did ..good call ☺

I C. Laeta, C.Versicolor, and A. Metallica are the only former Avics I enjoy. I like the enclosure, but I think it would make feeding a bit cumbersome.

I want to use lucky bamboo for my Avicularia Versicolor. The only idea I have to keep the root system healthy is to basically have a fishbowl at the bottom with gravel, a fish, and a small moss ball. Is that a good idea or a bad idea??

We love our little versicolor, and avics. Lots of ventilation is key for keeping any of them successfully. Great video!!!

When the slings r small I spray the enclosure with spray bottle but as they get a little bigger I glue a small water dish to the top of the enclosure.
