While it’s true it may be a waste of time dealing with people (privately) who hate the gospel,if you make your case in a public forum, there may be others listening that might be persuaded. Example: Abinidi testifying before King Noah or Alma teaching the wealthy Zoramites when he was approached by the poor Zoramites. Alma turned him about (ignoring those he had been teaching ) and focused on the poor.
