COVID-19: How safe are health care professionals in this novel coronavirus US outbreak?

There are young doctors out there getting very sick and dying from COVID-19. In fact I just learned that 44 Italian doctors have died from COVID19.
That's not supposed to happen. We are seeing it abroad and now in the US. The reason is somewhat unclear, but what all can we do to reduce this? Are we getting enough protection? Even despite the lack of certain PPE (personal protective equipment)? Do we know enough and are we doing enough?
When US soldiers get deployed to a war, they come equipped with the best equipment to fight the enemy and protect themselves.
The novel coronavirus US pandemic with COVID-19 from the SARS-CoV-2 virus is exactly that, a war. In this case health care professionals are the troops on the front lines. Our weapons aren't proven to be great thus far (see my last video), so at least shouldn't our ability to protect ourselves be?
In this video I discuss about how safe (or unsafe) we really are on the front lines, the frustrations regarding lack of adequate PPE, and in some cases the lack of sufficient protection from our own hospitals (at least in my opinion).

I am an RN at a skilled rehabilitation facility with the elderly and immuno compromised. I was reprimanded today and told that I absolutely was not allowed to wear a mask unless there was a positive confirmed case. I understand the shortage but I was also told even if I made my own mask and thus did not contribute to the shortage that I was not allowed to wear it.
A young Doctor in Pakistan actually passed away a few days ago. May Allah protect those who are supposed to be only line of defence for us.

Dr. Haider you should be outraged! And every other provider as well. Administrators in the USA look at the wallets of YOUR patients not their health. If the concern is fear in visitors then ban them from the premises! During SARS-1 in 2003 that's precisely what they did in all hospitals in my city Toronto (I was in for triple bypass surgery). Patients managed fine by using the telephone to keep in touch. And the number of deaths were small. These idiots are criminal. I haven't heard one news report that has even mentioned details of these "protocols" 😦😡
I wish ppl would discuss the impact on nursing homes. It is 100% devastating these communities. And we are often the last ones to receive equipment

The majority of masks are useless because they protect other people and NOT the wearer!
This is why I am thinking of buying the 3M 6500 respirator!
An excellent Respirators protect the person wearing them about 99%!
Whereas with a mask the wearer would be lucky if they are protected from catching the virus 30%.
Buy an Aviche M1, neck ion purifier from Amazon.

I purchased this item because it is probably the best at protecting a person.
I also cut 2 slices of lemon, cut into thin strips, and then cut into small squares that I place into orange squash. Could squeeze 2 thin slices of juices onto food and sprinkle with black pepper reduces sugar content and fight infections. ~I also use KWAI garlic tablets that fight infections - If I sneeze or have a cold's cough then take one co-codamol tablet but one paracetamol tablet a day will help to reduce infections.
