The only issue I am having with motherboard is that under some circumstances, after moving PC to other place it doesn't want to launch, which can be caused by circuit damage or bga chipset damage, but after moving it into right position it starts working great again until next time moving it to other place.)))

I just changed the stock cpu fan to a Noctua NH-U9S. Overclocked 2600k to 4,5. Auto on all settings so far, since i'm lazy and it works. Max cpu temp was 72c from what i saw when running cemu. Mario Kart 8 lagged with stock cpu/intel fan and a radeon r9 280 3Gb's graphics card, average 40.1fps. Overclocked it, lagged less but still i had a average fps of 46.4, low settings on everything in the emulator, 720p. Changed the graphics card to gtx 970 4gbs and wooow ultra settings on everything 1080p 58-60fps all the time. Incredible! Couldn't believe it. I was expecting just a little more fps, just wow. The clocking added 5-6fps and then the graphics card the icing on the cake! Now it's possible to game with friends without getting complaints about the resolution looking bad. lol

thanks for putting gpu and cpu usage in the vid as well :) well yeah sandy bridge is getting long in the tooth, for modern gaming i would say sandy bridge is the minimum, early ryzen chips are probably the best bang for buck platforms right now, excluding xeons because they require good motherboards which could eat a lot of the budget if you cannot find a good deal on one of them.

@@slob12 ehh i wouldnt be too harsh on microsoft support, because it is still very good, other companies such as apple supports their tech/software for only 3 years or so, meanwhile windows generally has like 10 years of guaranteed support. You cant really blame them for not doing major software rewrites for their very old stuff, for example dx12 ultimate/win 7, its just unpractical. As for linux im not overly optimistic about it, because if you expect better compatibility than native windows apps even when talking about really old hardware/software, you are going to be disappointed imo. i7 920 for casual users is still capable cpu, but its getting there slowly, especially the lack of modern instruction sets is the biggest factor in its aging process
