- In the seventh and final season of Cold Case in the last episode, "Shattered II", Lilly and Scotty have a discussion in which both show their true feelings and then hide them again. Too bad they cut off this great series and let fans com honey in the mouth, they all wanted the two characters were a couple.

They love each other but yet again AFRAID to pursue a relationship!
Oh why did these two not end up together? They clearly had an attraction! All of the hookups they've had with other people were badly developed and didn't feel natural. THESE TWO LOVE EACH OTHER!! The chemistry between them was so potent you could cut through it with a knife!

No, Lil was not interested at all in Scotty. She has to work out her family problems and it won't be with Scotty. Scotty would be lucky to live another day as messed up as he is. Her sister will work it out with her if it had of continued. I wish it had kept on. They just knocked off one of the episodes playing on 11.2 during the day. Oh well, maybe it will return.

They look like a married couple arguing. It's obvious Scotty is affected by the possibility that Lilly will leave the police department to work for FBI. He was distraught when reproached her for that. Certainly, he loved her ❤❤❤

Idk if anybody has watched Sister, Sister, but they should've had Scotty and Lilly get together to see what happens just like Ray and Lisa on S,S did. Even though it didn't work out for them to be together in the end, at least they gave it a shot being around each other so much and got rid of any speculation.

@@melissasmith4254 I've been rewatching the series and I am almost certain that their relationship is brother/sister. Plus each of their romantic types have a clear distinction. Lilly likes the typical hot strong buff solid man. Scotty likes the damsel in distress that needs caring for. They're attraction seems much more like a sibling/family friendship where they try to help each other with their distinct problems. There would be no dominant anchor force in a potential romantic relationship between them so they would most likely finish destroying each other's spirits.
@@roboppi6368 Scotty was also attracted to women who weren't in trouble: Sutton, ADA Thomas, Rafferty... but he only loved Lilly.

It's impossible to believe that Scotty would consider a beautiful blonde like Lilly just as friend or partner. It's ridiculous, it's would be unnatural. He was a womanizer. I don't really know what the writers were thinking, if they did it. If it were real, I'm sure that a unlovely girl like Elisa would have been only a good friend of Scotty but Lilly could never be.It's just a fiction but a little realism would have been better 😮
Scotty didn't love Elisa, he just felt sorry for her.

I don't think this shows that they have feelings for eachother at all. If anything it shows that they care about each other as friends and that Lily was upset that Scotty didn't tell her about her sister using drugs. I did always want them to get together but for some reason they never let it happen. I wished that instead of him getting with her sister that he would have gotten with Lily. And now it's to late cuz the show is gone and I miss it so much I love Cold Case and the music.
Why can't he be like that on Law and Order: SVU?? LOL

Scotty had a relationship with Christina when he could have dated any other girl because Lilly was opposed to the romance and I think he wanted to hurt her because she didn't reciprocate his feelings ❤

Because it's more romantic to envision them wanting to be together than it is to envision the idea that you can really, deeply, truly love someone you work with all the time without wanting to jump their bones. I mean, they were in each others'; pockets for 7 years, if they'd wanted to, I'm certain they would have. Scotty-boy, at least, didn't seem the type to NOT go for it if he wanted to. :D

Lilly and Scotty's personal stories were bad written from start to finish.
Am I the only one who doesn't care about the cops personal life on that show ?

The detectives' storylines were bad written.
I thought this was one of the better scenes of their personal lives, but you're right, most of their personal lives scenes didn't go well. It almost seemed like Rush couldn't find the right emotion. Don't get me wrong, she did a phenominal job on this series, but the personal scenes didn't play well. And you're right again, we were all hooked on the story of that show. The writing and the acting was very well done. Imagine going to hollywood execs and say, we have a who done it cop show, and we will close out each show by not saying a word and showing a ghost or 2. The execs were probably saying no way will this work. But it worked very well. Nothing needed to be said, you just felt the emotion of the scnene.
Same here, whenever an episode goes too much into one of the detectives lives it gets too snoozeworthy for me.

There is not doubt Scotty was crazy about Lilly but maybe she didn't feel the same way.
