- Lilly Rush and Scotty Valens (Kathryn Morris and Danny Pino) find their partnership strengthened even more in Seasons 4 - 7 of Cold Case. Tested to their limits, they travel to the edge but manage to always hold onto what they have as partners. This is i hope an ultimately poignant look at who they were when the series started and where they were when the series ended.

Lilly and Scotty should have been together in the end. It's a shame because throughout the show he had many girlfriends but never really fell in love and she dated guys who always left her.
Brilliant. I think you've excelled yourself with this one because it's got something for the Shippers, but it's also a great potted history of the Rush/Valens partnership. I did enjoy seeing those sepia toned clips at the end and the music was absolutely perfect. Really well edited and all the clips you selected were just the right ones. At the start of the show their partnership was very weakly defined, just something in name only really (this was mainly due to the use of ad-hoc pairings between the cast), but when we get to season 6 and 7 (especially the latter) they start to work as partners should. And that's the way it all ends, with a great partnership facing challenges together. Shame some imbecile at CBS cancelled the show just when it was hitting its stride.
