I am from England and now live in the U.S. One thing I have to say is that there is something very dark and sinister about this country at night time, I just can't put my finger on it. It kinda comes with a visceral feeling you get from the neon signs, the car lights or moon, contrasted against the pure black of night. There is no light pollution here and hardly any catseyes on the road. It makes it all the more worse that your vast forests/woodlands are scarcely ventured into. Anything could be in there!
