Great info as always 🤛🏼 I would add 1 more thing that I’ve seen makes a difference in catching fish, the trailer itself. I switch them (size, type and color) until I find the one that makes the presentation more attractive to the bass. I switch back to another one and they don’t bite, I put it back and they bite….that’s how I know. Hope it helps someone out there. Big fan of your videos 👍🏼
Always catch my biggest fish during this period and use a spinner bait with an extra hanging hook for the short strikes. Bright orange and red colors 👍🏽
Rod tip up and and speed up it keeps the bait from rolling when they roll they hang the rod tip high will help the bait stat to rise up to come over the wood
DUDE……the way you skip that spinnerbaits on a bait caster is mind boggling!! I’m trying to get better at this but man you got it down!! IMPRESSIVE!! 🍻🍻
I fish the banks in Southeast Louisiana and its been rough the last few weeks. I've been losing a lot of lures too but, thems the breaks when you fish the banks. Spinnerbaits have always and will always work down here so, we stay loaded up with them bad boys.
I used different spinnerbaits blades. Used different colors blades and skirts. I am a riverbank fisherman here in Fredericton New Brunswick. Fishing spinnerbaits cross current makes them lean to one side depending on the side of the river I am on. Most of the time I am casting up river, slowly reeling in. The river I fish the most is the Nashwaak river here in Fredericton. It has an island at the mouth of the river with a vehicle bridge crossing over the island from Devon to Barker Point. These are two districts of the city. Nashwaak river flows into the Saint John River here.
They got some MEAN pissed of smallmouth up there that just want to KILL everything I have always wanted to fish the rivers up there have a awesome safe spring up there brother you may not think so but you are lucky to have some awesome fishing with the clean water cold water y’all have 👍🏼👍🏼
@Brian Pierson we sure do have mean smallmouth in the river current. Smallmouth hits hard and fast sometimes. The Saint John River is tidal water with the Nashwaak river that flows into the Saint John River here in Fredericton. People been saying that the best smallmouth fishing from Oromocto to Gagetown area. I don't have my license to drive. I am stuck fishing here in Fredericton. We also have a couple of great smallmouth lakes
Have you ever had issues with the kicker blade not spinning? I swapped out to an orange #3 Colorado blade, and now it won't spin. I've messed around with the clevis to no success, and without the spin the action of the lure has been negatively impacted
Just asking because I have dun it before and not even notice it because I was so aggravated trying to see but is the kicker blade on there facing the right way!!??? I have dun it before and it will not do anything if it’s on backwards when it’s hanging down the cup should be facing the wire and the number and weighting out away from the wire just give that a look and see 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I personally fish braid to a mono leader from a 12#lb to a 20#lb depending on where when and the water color. And I know a lot of people who fish straight braid you just have to have the right rod and not be someone who try’s to set the hook like a googan we all just crank down and lean into them or sweep into them and just keep a steady crank but not fighting or pulling them because you will pull the hook or they will spit the bait but you can do it they are just getting payed to push rods reels line and baits
Less Regurgitated bass information and more casting and catching……..fyi 7.3:1 ratio ( 31 IPT ) is not the ideal ratio for an all around spinnerbait reel, somewhere in the 25 to 28 inches per turn a much better performing reel for an “ all around “ true spinnerbait set-up. Careful with the “ all around tag “ your 7’ rod / w 7.3 :1 reel is the proper tool for long casting/ burning a spinnerbait over flats etc..….Time on the water will show you, there are better options for a “ true all around spinnerbait set-up “. Rob
Love spinnerbait fishing! My favorite! Thanks for the great tips!

That hat color is killer, if you get your shirt and your gloves in that color would be awesome.

Tyler great info. I use these baits 90% of the time. Always have at least one tied on. Thanks for sharing 🎣
Thanks Ty anytime I throw a spinnerbait around wood I get hung up.😢what is the secret with the retrieve?
Rod tip up and and speed up it keeps the bait from rolling when they roll they hang the rod tip high will help the bait stat to rise up to come over the wood
Solid info. Thank you. 👍🏼
I just caught my first spinner bait bass yesterday and on the first cast too

Thanks man! You can do it!
Suggestion for trailers and colors? Or is it needed?

Where at in southeast Louisiana I’m in ponchatoula born and raised on north and south pass
All of Southeat Louisiana. From the middle toe to the pinky toe of The Boot.
I can't catch anything. I'm so bad at catching stuff I couldn't even catch covid.
Same man
Skunked 5 out of 6 of my last trips out. Had to go hit saltwater and get my confidence back!
On the same slump
Ned rig works great late winter / pre spawn. It works so well I can’t stand fishing it anymore. Sounds crazy, but it gets boring😅
My thought is either there are no fish or I don't know what I'm doing.
I appreciate the tips. I've not had a lot of success on using spinnerbaits. Do these same tips apply to pond fishing?
Absolutely thee can definitely be used in ponds

@@brianpierson7708 Thank you. I am always careful where I stand. I hope you make it up here one day

Excellent casting!
Thanks!
Why not braid for fishing a spinnerbait?

They're always sold out of those rods 🥺
Thanks for your advice. Also man you can skip!
The way you skip a bait is remarkable
