Such a great sermon. If it doesn’t light a fire in your heart, I’m not sure you are truly listening.

When truth divides, remember… “He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.” (Luk 10:16)
But also remember the One many despise also has the power to save… “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” (Jhn 12:32) and “And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.” (Act 9:18)

The analogy in the last 3 minutes sounds like the exhortation of Hebrews 12:1-2 to run our race with patience. At the end of the run is Christ himself to reward us.

    So much in this message!
Obviously, I have not felt exactly what The Messiah felt but I certainly know what it is like to have family reject you.
I am encouraged though because James initially was part of those who mocked and had such pride that he couldn’t see the good that was in his family. No doubt, the enemy was at play in that, manipulating and deceiving James about his family and interfered with James’ ability to see the divine in Him. But it did not remain that way! Eventually, James did see the Good in his Brother, despite the lies of the devil. To his credit, James had to be humble and teachable to see the facts and the Truth of the Love of Jesus. This gives even me hope that most of my family will one day reunite in a deep sense, by seeing the facts and The Truth too!
Even if that doesn’t happen, we walk the path before us, following the Savior’s example, knowing that He walks with us, His Father has gone before us to prepare our Way and the Holy Spirit inside us enables us to continue each step of the Way, no matter how challenging it may be.
Great message of inspiration and hope! Especially for those of us who have fractured families.

This guy thinks he’s living in the 1 century. Jesus knew “man” is ruined. He didn’t come to clean us up He came to save us. Jesus harshest rebukes were for “religious” leaders and people , as mad as it I’m sure makes this guy the truth is Jesus came to rescue sinners.
The attempt here to elevate the importance of what he is preaching and doing in 21st century America to what Jesus The Christ did in His preaching and ministry is unbelievable to me.
But in all fairness to James this is what these Baptist Fundamentalists “pastors” have been taught at their seminaries to do.
The alliteration , the voice inflections , the feigned outrage and pulpit slamming , all the trappings of this stripe of Christianity yet completely absent of the grace , peace , and rest offered to all that come to the end of themselves and realize that Jesus is the totality of the Christian Life apart from anything they do , even things they do in His name.

Thanks for listening regardless. BTW, do you have a local church/assembly?

      @
Why do you ask ? Are you gonna report me to my pastor and get me anathema-ized , 😂. No I don’t have a church chiefly because they all teach a false works based gospel. I was raised a Catholic and went IFB later in life ( long story) only to discover they are both religious systems created by men , in fact as I moved through the IFB I discovered that for the most part the IFB is Catholicism without the bells and whistles.
Also it was interesting to discover the Catholic has 1 pope The Baptist’s have many , I’ll trust you’ll figure out what I mean by that.
Let me ask you a question…why are you a fundamental Baptist ?

@@chalesgolding5314 You may or may not be reported to the Big Eva Nonconformist Enforcement Division haha. Just curious who you trust enough to worship with. IFB because non-reformed yet believe in eternal security, literal interpretation of Scripture, and independent from authorities outside the church dictating its governing.

Good one. As far as who I trust enough to “worship” , how do you define “worship” ?

    • @strengthforlifepensacola

@chalesgolding5314 Genuinely not trying to be difficult. Just meaning regularly gathering with other believers for singing/exhortation/praying/exercising spiritual gifts/preaching. Everyone seems to use different terms.
