Anyone else like Ralfy’s videos before even watching them, because they automatically know they’re going to be absolute bangers?
Guilty as charged!🥃
All the time. Don’t want to forget. They’re all good in my book anyways.😊
All quality and informative with no watering down
It's like listening to a whisky encyclopedia.
haven't listened to Ralfy for a while but this was truly an excellent talk - i don't remember Ralfy saying this hard-hitting stuff before. good stuff!
Glenfarclas 12yo was the one that gave me that moment you mentioned. Still love it when I can get it! It was my starting point.
It is an uncomfortable truth that the aura around many brands has become an illusion perpetuated by advertising and dubious marketing. Standing back and being careful to scrutinize a product helps us to discern the difference between he phoney baloney from the real deal. Ralfy, I find your thoughtfulness very useful not just regarding whisky but relevant in many aspects of life , so thank you.
The illusion of choice graph of all the foods you think are owned by separate companies but are all like Mondelez , Kraft, Nestle etc . All illusion of choice. That's why I tend to pay a bit more but search online for the smaller companies not affiliated with these new world normal conglomerates that are actively engaged in destroying humanity and are the real polluters of the planet not us . These mega companies with the amount of crap they use , plastics deliberately used when there are many other alternatives . Hemp etc .
Greetings Mr Ralfy and thank you for another informative video. It is like twice a week we are attending The Advanced Singl Malt course in Ralfy University of Maltology 😅 My first experience with whisky beside sipping the left overs next day in my father's glass was a bottle of Ballantines blend which I drank the whole bottle with my girl friend before attending to my cousin's wedding, I never forget the look of the elderly people in our family when we both walked it laughing and walking like robots.
The first time I drank whiskey was when I went to a shop on Christmas day and bought a bottle of Glenfiddich 12.
That was the second bottle of whisky I ever bought, after the Johnnie Walker Black.
I am enjoying a pizza from the local takeaway. It is outstanding because it isn't sweetened, I can taste all the flavours that are in it like the mushrooms and such. Rare.
I've had ready meals - Lasagna and such - from supermarkets that are so bloody full of sugar, they may as well serve with custard as a pudding.
I do. I always give Ralfy a like before I watch it. Ralfy is the best!
Pleasure to share another digital moment with you.
Spot on regarding sugar Ralfy! I've reduced my sugar intake a lot and at first it was really hard, which demonstrated to me just how addictive sugar is. I had to wean myself down in stages, like you would wean yourself off an addictive drug. My first whisky was a glass of Johnnie Walker Black with ice at a bar. No coca cola for me, I've never liked the taste of it. Cheers!
I always have a bottle of Drambuie, Benedictine, and Irish Cream. Currently, I also have a bottle of Irish Mist.
Good Afternoon 😊 Awesome Video👌🏽 Appreciate The Content and Videos🤙🏼 I Don't Drink Alcohol but Enjoy The Review 😉 Have a Fantastic Day 👍🏼 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Lovely, congrats Ralfy and those who are striving for more valuable and conscious life for themselves and their loved ones.
One thing I do like about your channel Ralfy, is that you criticaly engage with the health risks of our hobby - it's something that every whisky enthusiast should think about and I commend you for bringing the matter up on a regular basis. I also generally agree about your remarks, that most of us are consuming far too much sugar. BUT I do feel, that it is a little bit hypocritical to preach the evils and dangers of sugar again and again, while the whole reason for the existence of your channel is talking about a certified carcinogen. If we are just talking about our physical and mental health, the scientific advice is crystal clear: Give up alcohol. But we decide, that the rewards of our whisky journey are worth the risks and we regulate our intake to accomodate these risks. That is our freedom of choice! To me it seems, that we are hardly in a position to harshly judge the choices of others. Don't get me wrong, on most points I at least generally agree with you - but I think we are in no position to be righteous about it.
Always great info Ralfy Muchas gracias 🤘🤘🤘
Douglas Laing Scallywag chocolate edition🤮 And they've released 7 batches of it!? Then the espresso edition!!🤢
I just polished off a blended scotch ...what matters is that you enjoy alcohol like a woman and not abuse it ...cheers mate 👍✌✌...chin chin and carry on with the rather spirited and splendid videos
I never had bad batches from Ardnamurchan so far. One of reasons why i became a member of their AD/Venturers Club.
In America scotch has the stigma of being “strong” and “flavorful” and that scares off young people and women until they’ve been slowly made to try it and decide for themselves if they like it.
Hey Ralfy,
Have You encountered GoldCock Czech Single Malt Whisky? It has 10 and 20 years editions, both of which are non-chill filtered and no colorant added.
I was wondering if You have tasted those already :)
I know, some whisky-purists only put non-sparkling water into whisky. But I like to use a little bit of sparkling water, for me it brings more taste out of the whisky.
But of course - putting anything flavoured into whisky, is a shame...
Recently, I recommended a peated whisky to someone. This person said immediately that he liked sweet tastes in whisky and asked if the recommended whisky was sweet. When I said it was, he reacted positively.
Did that fellow remain an acquaintance? 😅
@@javieracosta3439 wut?
@@johnzajac9849i probably should not have assumed that the person asking for something with a sweet flavor profile was a friend or even an acquaintance of yours. I also should not have assumed that they would be averse to a peated whisky. Originally I wondered if the fellow you recommended the bottle to was appreciative of your selection. I can imagine pulling one over on a person who had no background with peat and struggling to get past the smoke to find the sweet you had promised.
Sorry for assuming too much of the situation.
Coke is a bad drink to add poison to?
Is the coke bad or the poison?
If you're worried about you're health leave the coke and the poison off and drink water.
sometimes getting pished is what you need to do
Very philosophical 🎉

Where did this sugar tirade come from? We need glucose to live. Simple as that. Cut out sugar entirely and you have a few days to live. Not good advice.
I think added sugar is the problem, not sugar in general. There's plenty of sugar in vegetables, fruit, and other non-processed foods.
We do need Glucose, but we don’t need the other molecules that are the cause of all the issues
@@Pavel_Pterodaktilovichall the while his channel is about ingesting a poison.
@@Pavel_Pterodaktilovich Agree! It is the excessive amounts of added sugars on top of what is already there naturally in the food that are the problem.
@@tbjtbj4786 Exactly. Love whiskey, but no illusions about it. Booze isn't death's prime minister for its timidity.
