Love the fragrance. Two reviewers raving about this in one week is amazing! The other guy is some bloke named Dov Lazlow. He seems a bit chemically imbalanced, but solid. Ever heard of him?
a mate of mine went on about this for a while so i got a bottle of friday ive just sprayed it for the 1st time and its stunning it reminds me of for me the nicest smelling mens scent of all time D&G the one edp it has that distinctive warmth. Instantly one of my fave scents in my collection.
I bought a 60ml bottle on a ridiculous special some months back.. Then bought another one (full price 😭) recently for a friend I'm helping get into fragrances as an early Christmas present.. He LOVES it! And I do too..! It's just so damn sophisticated!
… this is my No.1 in my autumn/ winter collection. All you say abot MiB is true. Great fragrance, maybe a little more for 30+ , but like you say GREAT SCENT! 😅
I agree, this is a great fragrance, one of the sexiest smelling and most fun to wear designer fragrances I've ever owned. One of Morillas' best creations in my opinion. Keep up the good work George, and congrats on hitting 40K
Finally after wearing this for a while it hit me what this reminds me of. When I smell it off my skin on the dry down it smells very similar to black orchid. Sometimes it takes months of wearing to finally realize what something smells like to me. And it just hit me out of nowhere. I sprayed black orchid just to see cause I haven't worn that in years and yes the dry down of mib is very similar to black orchid way more wearable and masculine and Woody Ofcourse off of my skin imo. Incredible stuff from bvlgari!!!
Holy fucking shit...haha darn you, I can't unsmell it now I don't even like Black Orchid much it's just weirdly accurate and idk what note combinations are doing it, I do think MIB is one of the best colognes ever made though
It is a beautiful fragrance just as spice bomb is. It's like if you want to wear spice bomb on a date or in a job interview you would wear mib instead cause slice bomb is just so aggressive. My issue unfortunately is that the performance is so bad. I'm sure when it came out all those years ago it probably performed really well but now even though I would wear it to be a calmer spice bomb it way to calm basically a skin scent immediately.
I have this one it's a good scent I'd say its a sweet tobacco scent with dark qualities it is a good fragrance i don't get as good a performance as you do but it still is average performance on my skin and its average projection but the scent itself is high quality smell i like it and i love darker fragrances in general I'm drawn to them even though the average person around me usually isn't lol
Luckily bvlgari displays the batch code right on the bottom of the box. So I went into Macy's today and made the lady show me all 10 of Thier packages (she honestly thought I was crazy but eventually understood ) and I found one that was 3 years old the other 9 where all 2021. . I have no idea if it's better or worse then the 2021 batches but all I can say is it is very strong and last allday projection isn't crazy but idc about projection. I've sampled this and had decants in the past and always loved it but never bought a full bottle because I was always afraid of performance and I'm glad I finally got a full bottle. Even if they didn't have an old one I still would have got it it's just so unbelievably good.
I haven't smelt this one and I'm thinking of blind buying (100ml is currently discounted to 75 quid on Amazon). My last 2 purchases were from your recommendations, Ombre Leather and Sunset Riot, and I loved them both. Particularly Sunset Riot, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this blind buy!
I love this fragrance, but the performance was not good for me. It starts really strong and after about 3hrs was gone. However, I let it sit for about a year and the performance got better to about 5hrs. Also, if you put lotion on first it will last even longer. I have heard that trick for a while, but it never made much of a difference with other scents. This one it really does.
Hey George, I tried this in sunny Bournemouth yesterday. The 1st hour was tough going, after that I was sold.. and it does last ages. Love your channel 👍
@Fragrance Apprentice I did not like MIB as much because of the tuberose. Still prefer Spicebomb. Have you tried MIB Essence or All in Black Limited Edition?
I love this but I feel it’s a skin scent will definitely be giving it a go and see how it works. Some things are just made to be skin scents. Bois Dargant , Ideo prison blues , Jubilation xxv peas amber intense. All skin scents that are wonderful in my opinion but I only pull for them if I know I will be sitting at a table with people and don’t want to ruin the persons dinner with something like let’s say hacivat or red tobacco which smell great but is nuclear and in my opinion does not work in close situations
Despite having, wearing and slightly preferring Black Orient myself, the original MiB still feels like the more complete fragrance to me. But since I already had 1899 at the time, it only seemed logical to opt for the extra performance and woody punch of BO. Black...Orient. Not the greatest abbreviation. But layer the two with a dash of Eau des Missions et voila, the best of every world. Easily still one of the best looking and smelling designers currently available.
Wanted to like MIB, tried it three times, but it smells relentlessly synthetic. It’s light, transparent, watery-clean chemicals to my nose. “Man in Black” is a misnomer; it’s fairly gentle stuff.
I personally never tried MIB; I went straight to Black Orient. Black Orient is still my signature scent, but the problem is backup bottles have become EXTREMELY expensive, so when I run out, I’ll need to search for something else to fill that void. I did purchase MIB Essence (the one with the cool Laolú graphic art design on the bottle), but it’s more of the cinnamon and chocolate gourmand flanker of the line, so it’s not a replacement for Black Orient. Does anyone know what fragrance is most similar to Black Orient (that Spice Bomb/Oud and leather combination), or would MIB fill that niche best?
@@thetechlibrarian This is why you can basically bank on fragrances the way I can bet on stocks, in point of fact just buying a good grand worth of cologne is easily a better use of your money than paying a thousand in crypto (but mostly crypto be bullshit anyway). Like I could've easily doubled my money on Armani Code Profumo and Absolu last year, sadly. Man in Black Intense is now literally impossible to find, and Essence and Black Orient are now extremely rare and very expensive on ebay.
Delighted to hear you give this fragrance its solo after hearing you mention with such fondness throughout your reviews of the recent months; it's one of those fragrances where my mouth starts to water just hearing someone read the notes. I appreciate the rum accord they incorporate in their range; did you ever get your nose on the recently discontinued Man Black Cologne? (Personally, I think the Bvlgari bottles are gorgeous, but that's down to taste.) Do you believe green/vegetal notes in fragrance can be carried off in fall or winter?
I prefer the Black Orient Version and the special edition version. The OG man in Black is too sweet for me I guess and gives me a slightly "synthetic vibe. How the OG will get you compliments and ladies like it so for that alone it is a win.
Dear George, how would you compare this one to Givenchy Gentleman Only Absolute EDP ( I know, it's a long name). I personnaly find the Givenchy to be the better, more interesting, more original out of the two. If you have the chance, I could sincerely recommend you to try and compare the Bvlgari to the GIvenchy and find out which one you like more. Of course, it all depends on which one you smelled and felt in love with first..
We support you and watch your videos listen I've got question to ask, I used to use armani attitude but its gone discontinued can u tell me similar to that, it was my perfume all the time, I've used channel, dior, polos, hermes, diesels, Calvi kleins, bvlgari, dolce and gabbanas, etc, but still to this date my sniffer and eyes looks for armani attitude
Got it because of George's hype...... Smell is super nice, but performance is very weak?!!! Am i the only facing this? It is genuine for sure....i saw the review of Aaron Terence Hughes, he talked about dark skin absorbance for this!!! So close to my skin....not smelling it unless i stick my nose to my skin🙄
Can I get this for winter day and SWY intensely for winter night? I set the limit at 2 perfumes per season plus 2 extra smaller bottles so I dont go over 10 bottles.
Bulgari Black "Hockey puck " was one of my first intros to this house. Along with BLV. This one caught my attention instantly bc of its functionality as you said but more affordable than other brands that are much higher in price. Did you hear anything about Creeds Learher collection 🤔? And would you think it's just a cash grab? Just got the ad on my mobil a few min ago
Am I smelling the same MiB as you?? Just blind bought it and opened it as a bday gift for myself yesterday. I feel it smells quite basic. Smells sort of similar to Nivea silver protect if I remember the smell correctly, I mean it's the first thing that came to my head when I first smelled MiB. Performance is weak. After 3 hours with about 5-6 sprays around my neck I asked my sister if she could smell it but she couldn't. Also it was close to non-existent on my wrist with about 2-3 sprays. But she does really likes the smell to be fair. I wanna give this a chance though. I've heard if you let a fragrance sit for a few months it can become slightly stronger. This works well as an intimate skin scent. it's not a particularly noticeable or loud one
I changed my mind it's gorgeous. I wonder if I was losing my sense of smell slightly because I got covid a few days after. Not gonna lie though, I stand by what I say on performance. This doesn't last particularly long and it is an Incredible skin scent. If you're someone who sees scent alone as a redeeming factor for a fragrance defo try this one out. You wear this one for yourself I feel
Since you love this and Spice Bomb Extreme so much, I'd really be interested in your review of Montale Oud Dream. It's a very similar style of fragrance, spicy with photorealistic cinnamon, a hit of sweetness, some oud. Performs like you'd expect from a Montale.

so i got this scent about 4/5 years ago here in Australia in a chemist shop for $50 AUD . i immediately got 2 bottles of it & gave one bottle to my brother as a gift. I ended up going back to the same chemist shop few weeks later and it was selling for more than double the price $120 AUD. i am guessing someone made a massive mistake and put it on the discount rack because it has never gone back down to that price ever since . It smells great but unfortunately, the performance is absolute crap it performs worse than my old bottle of CK One Literally a skin scent within like 10 minutes One of the best smelling ones I've had but I have to return it due to the shitty performance
Okay George, I own and love this frangrance, too. So, I have a good one for you, and this is quite serious. It would hypothetical for you, but a reality for me. So imagine you are traveling abroad for leisure, several months in different countries and you will be in weather zones that range hot to warm to chilly (but not seriously cold). You can't lug even a small fraction of your fragrance collection with you. So, what TWO fragrances would you consider taking with you? A hard one, huh? I thought so. Not so hard for me, but I DARE YOU to think this through and come up with your best, most versatile warm weather or cool weather fragrances. Because I will be doing just this in six months. Again, your challenge would be my reality.

His wife left him, dude. She found a man with a more epic moustache. Have some humanity.
what is "chemically imbalanced"? please explain in layman's term. english is not my first language. thanks

Bvlgari Man Black Cologne is another underrated gem for the Summer nights going out for cocktails
This is an amazing scent. I was lucky to get it in a gift set that came with a mini bottle version. So great
This is a mature spicebomb extreme . Take out the sweet part of spicebomb and add more spices. It is a very dry fragrance to me. I love it
I truly love the atmospheric endings of your videos. They are really deep and calming.
I can tell how much you love this by the way you keep giving the bottle a high five 😂🤙
