I want to get into recruitment but don’t feel ready enough due to lack of confidence when it comes to working on the phone and communication in general, is their anything you would suggest in this situation?
What can help is getting a job in the interim that will give you some experience in dealing with and speaking to people on the phone. I worked in a call centre before I went into recruitment, and it was the perfect experience for me to develop my skills and prepare me for the working world. I had training to help me get used to working on the phone all day. If you're not keen on something like that, even a customer facing job would be beneficial to give you some confidence. If you join the right recruitment company, they will give you training and help you develop your communication skills don't worry :). Hope that helps.

That's really interesting, I used to recruit for sales roles in the pharma industry. Yes have a look for dual roles or Talent Acquisition - a lot of pharma companies have those functions.
@@raniayousef58 I meant a HR role with recruitment responsibilities - as it's not always a big part of the job depending on the organisation you join. I've trained someone before who worked in HR but they had a 50/50 split between that and recruitment.

In a nutshell, yes...but with a lot of agencies they will do everything they can to help you with areas you're struggling with so you have the best chance possible to hit your targets. There are other things that come into it as well, such as your work ethic and attitude. Hope that helps :)

@@daminitanver6785 There are a lot of recruitment agencies in London, so I'm sure there will be ones that offer sponsorship. If you have LinkedIn I would start connecting with agencies in London and the outskirts, then messaging any of the managers/owners. They will like your direct approach and might be happy to chat to you more about the role, so if there aren't any positions for you, at least you've gained some extra knowledge!

Recruitment consultant here, nobody is listening to your phone call. They are all busy doing their own work. Hope that helps

Start as a 180 degree consultant slowly and build you confidence. I went from shy researcher to succesful consultant in a year. you can do it too.

Yes he's still in recruitment, at the same company and doing really well. We are still in contact, I spoke to him just a few days ago!
