Currently if you have "Chat History & Training" turned off it doesn't show browsing right now. But if you turn it on, browsing is available. You're welcome!
Hmm, I tried turning it off and still have access to browsing.

@@JOSHSPNR yea 25 an hour. Honestly as you use it more you get a good feel for what you need gpt 4 for and what you can use 3.5 for.
They're doing what all businesses do, they offer everything little by little then "scale up". In reality they're just trying to create more demand for their product by limiting the supply. When they find out how the big boys do it with free access, plugins, internet, and much faster speeds, they'll either stop leeching or try to get gpt-5 out to stay ahead.

The problem with the browsing feature is, that it DOESNT search ALL website, but it only searches a FEW websites. I wish it would have knowledge of all sites.
I was puzzled as to why I wasn't seeing the Web Browsing plugin yesterday as a ChatGPT Plus user, but then somewhere someone said it was a rollout over this week. I looked today in my ChatGPT settings, and Web Browsing is now an option to use. I can't wait for the Code Interpreter tool to be available, because these 2 plugins are going to SUPERCHARGE ChatGPT.

One thing I have noticed is that GPT4 browsing, at lease as I've been using it, has about a 50% failure rate. When it works, it's beautiful, but there are more and more websites that it simply can't read. And that list is getting longer every day.

@@jettykidforty782 No that doesn't make much sense. My guess is that it just has an internal web plugin that provides "context". So you're limited to what a plugin can see, which is definitely not sites that require human verification.
They’re blocking the chatGPT crawler because the AI doesn’t care about ads when it views a page, and it doesn’t generate “click” profits for the webpages, so neither advertising companies nor websites themselves profit from it.
So much for capitalism leading to innovation, fuck them.

Boss, wanted to mention, old geezer 70 year old retired helicopter pilot, that types with one figure has no problem getting in and Rocking out. Your stuff works 100% every time for myself. All of it. Just wanted to drop a line that I think you're the best and most useful generative AI instructor on UA-cam.
I think while plugins have a suprising potential (even in training the model to use such things dynamically even out side of plugins) the biggest weakness by far still seems to be its context memory / memory / forgetting important details.
Internet does very little actually, but it might depend on your usecase. Its definitly nice. But "auto gpt" for example can use the internet extensively. (open source autonomous attempts to make gpt work autonomously by your instructions to code a AI, research for a youtube video preparation, code something, manage a bussness as a AI, or be a network of AI agents that while limited by context memory can split work and some manage others that mangage others and by this network increase the working memory/context memory by a multifold.)
My thirst comment was a tiny bit quick. I just was triggered when feeling people don't understand gpt and think internet does much when working memory and token context memory limit is relly a issue.
In ChatGPT Plus, I'm not able to see web browsing or plugins with or without training turned on. Can't wait though.

you guys have to activate the browsing feature. Go to your settings on the bottom left corner, and click beta features and turn on browsing.

I wonder if I give it the URL to Microsoft Graph will it help me code a program. I tried before (I don't know C#) and I run through so many problems because Graph changed a lot in the past two years.

It's not rolled out to all Plus users just yet. It says they began rolling out plugins, etc on 5/12 and plan to have it to all Plus users within a week.

Not showing for me yet either. I expect it soon, however. In the meantime, I have the plugins and have enabled three (the max) but it's not clear to me how to use them within GPT-4. For example, I wanted to use the AskPDF plugin with a PDF saved on my computer but I was not able to figure out how to get GPT or the plugin to access the document. It seems some of the plugins need to be prompted to be engaged, eg "Using the XYZ plugin..." Am I missing something? In any case some content on the plugins would be helpful.

They added a capcha to email addresses on UA-cam now. Also, I get this error when trying to browse UA-cam: "I'm sorry, but I'm currently unable to access the UA-cam channel you've provided directly. However, I can provide some general advice on how to analyze a UA-cam channel.." Any idea on why most websites seem to not be working with browsing?

I enabled the browsing but I get this response:

It's a rather common thing to do with Beta features, you roll them out slowly so you don't get inundated with feedback. Then you can introduce them to a new batch of people with some adjustment and monitor if thing works better or not. One of the main advantage of doing this is that you only get one chance at making good impression.

Do you have to restart the conversation after 20 responses like Bing? Also, Bard doesn’t want to restart after 20 responses either so don’t know why Bing is still doing this.
No. You'll just pick up where you left off, and that whole "25 messages every 3 hours" thing is not set in stone. If you aren't just continuously spamming message after message, you can go far beyond 25. Even if you do hit the 25 mark and it pauses your session, you may not have to wait the whole 3 hours. Sometimes it's only 10 to 20 minutes. So as long as you pace yourself, you'll be fine. It's worth it.
This is fantastic news. However, I turned on web browsing but I'm getting the following message when trying to prompt with a URL:
"I'm sorry for any misunderstanding, but as an AI model, I'm currently unable to browse the internet or access specific URLs, including the one you provided. That simply doesn't work for me. When I write everything that is said in this video, I get the response that such information is usually not publicly available due to privacy policies. However, you can try to find contact information by reviewing the channel descriptions on UA-cam, where channel owners sometimes leave contact information for business inquiries

Absolutely. Prompt engineering is software independent. I will also be adding a bard specific video over the next weeks but from what I can tell, most gpt-4 knowledge translates to bard
Based on my experience, the prompt does not necessarily have to be well-written or in a specific format. Chat GPT is generally capable of understanding the intention behind the query regardless. Occasionally, I may request it to rephrase my question before actually asking it.

I find this feature extremely buggy. This is what Chat GPT gave me after asking it to review a youtube channel: I'm sorry, but it seems like there's a problem in accessing the UA-cam channel's content due to limitations with the browsing tool. This is great! It also brings up another question as to how AI processes the information it ingests. What if an AI is directed to constant sources of disinformation or false information, will it then start to disseminate that information to it's users as well?

Looks like thay added 'Bing' to the ChatGPT 4 web browsing. Must be pretty new. I don't see anyone talking about it yet. Now it says "Brows with Bing 'Beta' "

Yap correct, sometimes it fails. Try re-running it 2,3 times and usually it does the trick. Keep in mind that it’s still a beta feature and I expect the failed clicks to improve in days and week not months.
