I want to thank Michael for his honesty when it comes to reviewing products. Some UA-camrs dance around the negatives or sugar-coat the downside of a product, which is not why the viewers are here to see.
x3700 is definitely the way to go over the Emotiva. It is a great value for what you get and is rock solid in my experience. I agree with Youthman in that I love Emotiva and have some amps and speakers of theirs, but the processors are definitely not their strength.
1:40 yes, I did call to complain about allergies 😂 (just kidding, slightly) Good morning y'all, enjoy the weekend!! Definitely gonna stick to Denon for now & play it safe
I looked at the MC 1 when it was £1000 UK, but they increased the price to £1400, so with the wife's consent I bought a Denon X6700H for £1750 (with the good serial number so 4K 120Hz works etc) I also got a BasX A3 For the front 3 channels and a BasX A4 for the surrounds and rear surrounds, the Denon just powers the 4 height and 2 Atmos speakers. I have 2 SVS PB1000's doing to low end stuff, they are more than enough for me. But yeah I would go with the Denon, then when finances become available add powers amps. Then in the future you can buy the best Processor your budget will allow.
I'm a fan of emotiva ribbon tweeters. They just sparkle without being obnoxious. I'm also a fan of their amplifiers. With all the changes that are getting ready to come down the road regarding room correction. If I had it to do over again I would try to find something just to get by for about the next year and a half. Then see what's available.
Denon is a bigger company and therefore will have bigger teams working on the firmware so it will have lesser issues out of the box. Same is true of pioneer, etc.
Michael, in your honest opinion. Would you think that the emotiva BasX MR1 reciever will be buggy since it's emotivas 1st reciever?. Its basically the BasX MC1 with an 11 channel amplifier built-in.
The Tonewinner rocks AT-300; sounds as good as the Marantz AV7706. The Emotiva XMC-2 is now priced at $2,399.00. Can we take a moment to appreciate that Emotiva / Jade design sells processors. Sound United sells over priced receivers. LOL pre-amp mode sucks.

The mc1 functions well and sounds great!

Maybe then At-300 over X3700 or even X3800?

Marantz works the best and most functional by far
Is Channa NOT allowed to eat in the actual dining room (wife scolding him)? as he is ALWAYS eating DURING the videos here. What gives? hahahha
Chana still eating.
He's always eating in his videos. I'm like does this guy ever stop eating? lol
